I am sure I said vitriolic idiot. :P

Caroline Wilson is the Chief Football writer for the Age....she writes articles like that because that is what she's paid to do.

I'm also bemused by some of the posters reference to Caro being "old" when some of them are the same age or even older!

Fev has completely stuffed up and has regressed to his former irresponsible self by these actions.....and he knows it....too late!

Carlton has bigger fish to fry yet....this is an unwelcome aberration in the whole scheme of things.

Late Novemeber.

By that time its too close to Xmas.

Stuff is happening behind the scenes and i can assure you early next year.....

WATCH OUT!!!

Synbad, you're forever hinting at big things coming, but it's always a month or two off. I know timeframes on things like this are hard to predict, but it's all pretty wishy washy. Are plans being made, or is there just a lot of people talking about doing something, without a concrete idea of what to do?

Any challenge next year will be too late to make many changes to the football side of the club. Off-field there will be some more room to make changes, but most of the big stuff will be pretty set in stone. You talk like it's going to be a sweeping change and all happen at once, but can it? I'm not sure I can see how.

I prefer to think she actually looks older than her stated age.

I think its the drying out part - it affects ALL parts of the body.

Graeme, how is it the Club's fault that Fev lost his cool while having a drink in another country? Is it my employers fault if I go to a bar tonight and get into a scrap! There is no substance to her article. It is just Carlton bashing for the sake of it. Until we start winning more games, people like Caro will not relent.

Agreed. Don't mind Caro's articles normally. Don't even mind her highlighting the obvious off-field disharmony. But to claim there is some connection with Fev's indiscretion is ludicrous.

It's like arguing Tarrant's box on earlier in the year was related to Collingwood's board. Or Beau Water's clash with a taxi had something to do with how West Coast were run as a club. Ridiculous argument from an intelligent writer.

So what you're saying Agro, is that there could have been up to 50 people with Brendan in the bar that night...as long as only TWO were smokers??!!

What irked me the most was that the article had no real point other than to attack the club. She took the Fev incident and used it as a way to drag up past issues and regurgitate them again. There was not real recent news that deserved the article.

We all knew the review a month ago ended in a shambles, but since then, spin or not, we have moved forward. Whether this team is good enough is another issue

I am surprised by the fallout of this incident full stop, but for that mole to use this incident to go on a pointless rant and run off on multiple tangents and write a piece with unsubstantiated crap and hearsay just goes to show how little journalistic integrity she has.

Like fat prick, she is unable to write anything about our club without her venomous bias and hatred towards Carlton getting in the way. Unfortunately, the club will have to put up with this latest incident (undeservedly mind you) and wait until late November for some good news.

Personally, I am not too fussed about what Fev did. I have seen enough footage and pictures to realise the crap these players get over there and apparently they cop abuse left, right and centre. These Irish series have been glorified piss-ups from that start and this years is no different. Fev did the wrong thing I agree, but what about B.Hall and another player abusing the female receptionist? Anything about that? Ofcourse not, its not Carlton. We are the punching bag for the league and this will continue until we win some regular games of footy im afraid.

As for Fev, I am glad he is heading home instead of running the risk of getting seriously injured in a contrived, rubbish sporting contest of no significance.

QFT

I reckon the reaction to Fev's balls-up is way over the top already, and I haven't even read any relevant threads here, just looked at the Age and Hun (the Hun blog is full of mini-Caros who wear their hate on their sleeve).

I'm happy that he's not going to get injured playing in this bullshit series against players who make Matthew Lloyd look like a paragon of dive-free integrity on the field. I'm not happy that the action was made in the first place, but at least there is one positive that can be drawn from this.

And at the moment, sadly, "We are Carlton, the rest @#$%&! us!"

To make a direct comparative between Fev and the overal club coaching panel is as big a stretch as thinking Caro will be at Sticks house for Christmas.

Mind you if Caro came to my place on Xmas I would think santa's left me an old bag of coal for being naughty.

She pounced on it !!!! And proceeded to turn it into a bashing but the fact is Fev is just a bit of a Dill....a talented one though.
