What an amazingly long bow to draw

It really is quite a strange post. I am not sure sure how DP is to blame for Deluca choosing his promising accounting career, with a big 4, over playing footy for maybe 1 more year.

Oh well. Good luck to Deluca in his new career.

Preacher hit it on the head...

Deluca like French couldnt put up with Pagan and didnt need all the rubbish that came along with Pagan.

Couldnt get a game in front of Bryan next year???Jokeof the year...Bryan played one game this year andwason the verge of having his testicals cut off but was saved because of French.. AND Deluca actually had made up his mind a while ago..and actually pulled the pin a couple of days ago.

Now T Bird... Russell... French andDeluca...

Who is next ?????

Way to go....

Good luck Archie..!!! great bloke and has something to fall onto beyond footy.. like French... just a class bloke!!!

Dont worry... Gibbs is our pick!!!... it still doesnt mean the Berger ...

Remaining unbiased and not running their agenda on every single post they make isn't others strong point.

If they were that far against Pagan they'd have called our bluff and taken their chance in the PSD.

This is a stretch even for you. Do you have one shred of evidence that Deluca left because of Pagan?

Brad an agenda???
Thats right.. i wanna be coach!!!

Deluca like French and TBird and Russell and a whole host of others cant stand Pagans guts...

And they cant wait till he gets the 'Big A'.
They dream about it.. it consumes all their thoughts and they even pray it will happen....

I kid you not...

Well documented that it was not due to Pagan.
"
Denis has given me a great opportunity so I was really annoyed at suggestions I wanted to leave because of him. There was nothing to smooth out with him," said Thornton, 22, who has played 91 games for Carlton. "

If I believed everything I hear on this site, I would go crazy. Only earlier, someone wrote Scotland told him that the players are happy with Pagan and don't like Mitchell. I am not saying you are lying, but it is very hard to tell the truth.

No matter what you read...

Maybe Denis and his senior staffers humiliated him at one point last year where he had become a butt of joke around quite a few people in the AFL???

Noone is going to say... i left cos of a flower though are they???

Its very unmanly in a very UnAustralian way... in a very manly sport...

But Archie is a man!!!!.. he leaves and persuits something else.. and his hunger to be a gladiator at the biggest Coloseum in sport in this country has somewhat been diminished.. like Barnabys.. and like TBirds "fresh start"...

Ooooh a pattern....................... but noone has named Denis...

You're funny.

See most people agree with you that Pagan is past it and needs to go. Most of us understand, however, that its financially impossible to get rid of him at this stage. The case may be different in 2 months time or whenever there's change at board level, and we'd support giving him the flick then, but you have trouble differentiating between what we think now and what we'd think then.

So you think because we don't support giving him the flick now we all love Pagan and you ram this stuff down our throats day after day. Occassionally one of us bites and you tell us we dont understand modern football and get way off topic.

If you stuck to the fact that Pagan is past it, doesn't understand modern football and needs to go we'd all agree with you, but you keep going with the other shit and then can't understand why we dont agree.

Relax mate, when the time comes we'll all agree it was the best move, he needed to go, you'll still look like a genius and when we win number 17 I'll buy you a beer :)

Well if the players were behind Denis.. Denis will see out his 1.2 mill over 2 seasons contract...

I bet when he does finally get the big A.. you will see a different Carlton team out on the field.. instead of this flat insipid lack of confidence.. unadventurous flatline we have.

Brown hit it the nail on the head when he said "They are getting the life squeezed out of them" or something similar...

Brad noone supported Denis more than i did... one chat with him and he lost me completely.. that was 13 months ago.. since then ive been hearing more and more not always second or third hand...im frustrated with whats happening to my club...

Why do they look flat???
Why do players want to get the hell away????
Why the glass ceiling in so many of our kids???

Mate id buy you a drink or anyone here..i only get frustrated because i love my club.. just like i know everyone here does...

But some things cant be stomached

By the way did you know Deluca actually said goodbye to the playing group 2 or 3 days ago.. much before this official club snippet was out??

Why did it take 2 or 3 days from when he officially retire for this to be public and official????

Nutting stuff out????

Not disputing that Archie is a great bloke prob a really good club man also and i am assuming he works at a pretty decent company so if he is looking at furthering his career there that sounds good enough to me especially if he sees his long term career in AFL not contnuing in the next couple of years.

Okay as a footballer he tried hard but personally i dont think he had much of a future at the Blues..
As a ruck well he was pretty ineffectual and way behind both Maclaren and Bryan... so he wasnt going to be a future Ruck prospect and that dosnt sound great as Maclaren and Bryan are backup rucks at best

As a tall forward used around CHF hey i think Josh has his name on that position from 2007 and beyond... So i really dont think he saw a long stay in AFL or at least at the Blues anyway

if he was ticked off at Pagan maybe he is or isnt usually someone wanting to continue there career in AFL seeks another club not retire and go fulltime in the professional career..

Anyway i look at Deluca going allowing another draft prospect that we can choose in the upcoming deep draft.

We will just have to wait and see how it all pans out. I will stay away from reading too much into inside news on the club, as unless you actually hear it yourself, you don't believe it.

If a new ticket comes in, Pagan gets the ass, Carlton starts winning. You will be right and I will be happy because we are winning.

If it doesn't pan out, if I was you, I would be careful who you listen to.
