I'm in

Let me double check with my BIL so don't put his name down yet

I might also check with a mate of mine who's a big Carlton supporter and played for Old Ivanhoe (at some grade... maybe not firsts)

But, as of now, just count me in.

I just bumped it up. It's been very quiet in there all week so I'm not sure how many pay that much attention during the off season.

Ty,

What about your basketball mate? Any chance to play?
Because, once again, we need a ruckman.

BTW - the responses on Nicks has been a little better. Although, it's been people wanting us to play the game at MC Labour Park as Lexus is unavailable. Not many people have said they are going to play.

So, I'm going to suggest that if they dont start getting numbers together soon, we'll be making a challenge to PRE.

Dropped a response on Pies site:

Hi guys,

Barnesy from Talking Carlton.

We would like to get the ball rolling on this ASAP.

We seem to be ok for a team, but just want to gauge your response.

As much as it was great at Lexus Centre last year, and a great time was had by all, it is harder work for us to get Princes Park (MC Labor Park) as they require a fee for the ground.

Right or wrong thats the reality.

Glenferrie oval is and has always been a safety net for the forum games, and we recently played BomberBlitz there and I know Saintsational, HawkHeadquarters, Demonland, and Punt Road End etc have played there or will play there in the future.

As Demonland are playing Saintsational on the 26th November (Sunday) at about 2 - 2-30 pm we thought if we could get a double header played and kick off at 10 - 10:30am that would be great.

Please give us feedback ASAP, because if you or us are unable to firm up this ASAP, then we can both look forward and make alternatives.

Looking forward to us playing.

Cheers

Barnesy

I say the match has to be on the 2nd or 3rd of December, or 9th or 10th. Because I will be there those weekends, and If I'm not there, it's just not worth it.

I promise to holler and shout like a mad thing. Even at the football. After all, if I want to watch football, it should be encouraged.

EDIT: Will there truly be someone there who is missing a body part? I will need to know in advance so I don't run away screaming because I have 'issues'.

I'd say just looking at responses we scrap the idea here and now.

Only two weeks away and the response is minute.

I say from our persepective that we pick a date of say mid December, and hit Saintsational or Demonland for a game.

We can look at Nicks Pies in Jan, February if possible.

I don't want to fob them off or anyone, I just don't get the vibe that this has legs for the 26th November.

Thoughts?

Am thinking along the same lines, Barnesy.

They seem to be intent on bagging out our inability to secure OO as a venue for the game than get a team together.

I reckon we play Saintsational on December 10th.

name the date and i will be there, the onyl thing i might struggle with is if the game is before 12 so personally i would prefer if we didnt do a double header day.

oh that sounds sexy

Well, if it's on the 10th of December, we'll be the only ones playing on Glenferrie that day.

Barnesy, if you could let Nicks know we won't be playing them, that would be great.
