Why does Caro the Superbitch get these scoops?! Probably during that coffee with Malouf...

Oh well, thats all done and dusted - can't wait to give it a few years and see Gibbs, Murph and Walks tear the living shite out of Kerr, Cousins and Judd...

...it will happen! :P

Q. though, the article says Gibbs will be getting a 3-4 year contract - how many years did Murph get in comparison!?

And before anybody gets there first, let me be the first in this thread to say...

GIBBS

That is all well and good, but the most exciting thing to read in this article is the extra responsibilities given to Marc Murphy. This guy should be our captain from next season. He has maturity poise and skill that the rest of the list can only dream of and through his articles he shows that he is exactly the type of respectable young man that all our players should be aspiring too.

Welcome Bryce Gibbs. I hope this is the start of a beautiful and long-lived midfield partnership with the likes of Murphy, Simpson, Stevens, Walker and hopefully a few others (Carrazzo, Blackwell, and whoever we take at pick 17 or pick 19).

I hope he kicks 20 goals from a HFF in 2007. when 'resting' in the forward line.

Good if we get him as our number 1,but hope we get the next big guy with 17 and 19 unless one of the good midfielders like Leroy Jetta or Clayton Collard is still there and Carl Patterson with our next pick.

Great thing about Gibbs is he is still bottom-age at 17. Turns 18 in March.
Amazingly he's half a year younger than Hansen and Gumby and LB.
Already two years of senior footy. 8) 8)

The Blues flew their No. 1 pick from last year's draft, Marc Murphy, to Adelaide last week to meet Gibbs and his family and encourage the teenager regarding Carlton's future prospects and to communicate the enthusiasm of the playing group towards Gibbs.

Murphy will become our best recruiting tool :-D

Great news. We were never going to get this pick wrong, but having a gun midfield in a few years will be great to see.

GIBBS

Mods/Admin, could you please change it so that anytime Gibbs is written, it shows up as GIBBS?
