the great man will be back tomorrow. If this is true about Feva being in a fragile way and has personal issues, i hope the club give him the support he needs. It's good see Malouf go over to support and help Brendan.

Don't worry Feva everything will be alright. Don't worry bout all this shit big man ur still a freakin superstar. Love ya mate.

Good, get him back, give him the support he needs and let him and Carlton get on with it.

What he did was stupid, but that's it, all that front page shit is ridiculous.

More serious issues in the world than Fevola and a barman in Ireland.

The bad press etc is enough punishment and move on.

Calls for his sacking and shit from others (not on this site) is just plain crap.

He is more than welcome back at blue land for training, and now he just needs to earn a little of that respect back that he has lost over the last couple of weeks.

Exciting times ahead for the Blues and Brendan.

Chin up and get on with what you do better than 95% of the others in the AFL.

Dominating a game of Aussie Rules.

Well, if the club is too gutless to stick up for Fev and stand up to the spew for calling him a liar (while sneakily twisting the truth) then I hope at least Connors will say something...

Good to see the club supporting him and complaining to the AFL on their handling of the situation. The AFL may have hung him out to dry, but not the club. For mine it has been the best thing to come out of Carlton over the last 8 weeks - that it cares for the welfare of its personel despite him being unfairly demonised by people who think they know.

Well done Mick Malouf et al.

We love ya Fev. We know you're not perfect, but who is?

You're not just a player, you're a champion of our plight and the work you do outside of the club is only to be commended and congratulated.

I'm not a religious person but there is a saying, "Let he who hath not sinned can cast the first stone." He didn't kill anyone and he is remorseful for a silly but minor incident. He hasn't shirked his responsibilities since the incident, so let's just give the kid a break already.

Go Fev. Go T.C'ers and go Blues

Well done to the club for supporting Fev. Great unity.

What an overblown media beat up this whole affair has been.

Far worse things happened on the field in the last IR match.

Not Pearce's tackle, that was fair. Not Selwood's bump, that was a free nothing more.

I don't see the media up in arms about all the punches thrown; about Bateman wrestling on the ground before the match had even started; about Voss laying out some Irishman; about O'Keefe repeatedly punching an Irishman who was lying on the ground; and they're just the ones that were caught on camera.

But a headlock is far worse. :garthp:

Have the football media digested this.

Based on the article, it appears that Caro is aiming her sights at AFL HQ.

player welfare is obviously not an issue with the AFL. What if, God forbid, Fev had done something very very rash when he was left on his Pat Malone.

@#$%&! you Demetirou and the clowns you surround yourself with. Lets see how you like it with the media questioning your judgement.

I wonder what they are thinking, in their nice Ivory Tower. With all the punches thrown on the field, there are going to be a LOT more questions put than just about Silly Fev the Drunken Dill. The way the game panned out may turn the GAA against the idea of playing at all. That would be far worse for the AFL than Fev being drunk and silly.
For all the punches thrown, how many people from either side will be reported? Suspended? Anyone?

I am glad the Irish Gardia have come to a conclusion to their investigations. Now Fev can come back home and get everything back together again. Let's see more of the Sober Fev the Champion Goalkicker.

Fevola needs help and support.

He is in a delicate emotional state.

The best thing for Brendan is help and understanding from others coupled with a plan to move forward.

That plan is a simple one - to get stuck into pre season and be reconnected with his friends at Carlton.

It's crazy isn't it? Shame on all the media and posters on these forums for making a big deal out of this.

Im not a big fan of the media at the best of times, but the way that Fevola was treated and the excessive attention given to this incident by them was a real low point.

One thing that has not been highlighted is the ratio of AFL Officials to AFL Players on this tour - something like 2 to 1.

What were all these AFL officials doing?

There should have been at least one AFL official with every group of AFL players during every minute of every day.

We know that one of them didn't drink. Great job "Spew".

I think it goes something like this :

Carlton warns AFL that Fevola has personal issues and needs support if he is to go to Ireland and the AFL ignores Carltons request.

The Fevola incident occurs

Universal outrage - including quite pointed comments from Demetriou who basically makes fev look even worse.

From the above , the AFL has behaved negligently and irresponsibly and then tries to sheet home further blame to a person who increasingly looks like a victim.

i think its a big call to call Fev the victim even though he has been harshly criticised.
