Hey Champ,
How do you know the AFL, Carlton or his manager haven't provided advice to Fev?

No. I did mention that there was 'no evidence' and, obviously, that's not definitive. But, every man and his dog has had his say this week, and yet we have not heard anything about it.
So, to sum up, I assumed.

I'll give you my tip. In a few weeks after these guys have returned, more and more 'details' will come out further showing just how stupid and incompetent thew AFL are. At how much ill will is left over from Johnsons assault on what are just a bunch of amateur sportsmen.

And there will be the usual head nodding and rebuttal from the media but nowhere near the vitriol that they attacked Fev with.

But of course there will be NO apology from Jabba nor any from Mitchell etc.

Fev is a bit of a dill but I don't see him as a liar and the video has backed his side pretty well.

I loved you even though I thought you may have been the result of a jockey on a stretching-rack, Laps.

Now I love you and think you are eloquent.

People are suggesting Kouta for a year until Murph or Walks; what about Lappin? Who has defended a team mate so well or displayed such intelligence as a representative of the Carlton Football Club in recent times.

You rock Matty.

I've been saying for a long time, there is no way Lance will make Captain, and Lappins comments back it up. The players don't respect him, how can they respect a guy, when he opens his locker and Mcdonalds wrappers fall out. Lat year when Kouta was out injured several of the senior players got together and was trying to get rid of Lance as the stand in captain.

Seriously Lance is an alright player, and a true Carlton guy, but he has never set the right example ever to the playing group to justify ever being captain.[/quote]

sorry mate but i cant agree....regardless of how much anyone likes or hates lance on a fan level...you cant write that without having any evidence to support it.

i went to 19 games this year and over 20 trainings and various club social events....Lance is probably the most respected player there and not only during the games but during training does lance ALWAYS giving advice and talking and telling people where to run and what to do. He is like having a coach on the field. He may not be the most inspirational player on our team but to say that he isnt respected by his team mates cant be further from the truth.

Who says i don't have evidence? This is coming straight out of a players mouth., and not just one. What i said is exactly true, the younger players may look up to him, but nearly all the guys that have been around since 2000 think along those lines.

Inspirational at training????

He is off before everyone else each session.
He walks when others run...

Youre kidding arent you?

From someone who has watched Lance extremely frequently over 4 years at games and training...
He started training seriously he said after Xmas (so he can peak) and then lasted 10 rounds before he started hitting the wall.
At this rate he will start March and finish April next year...

The thing is, nobody is going to come out in the media and say we dont want lance as captain, his eating habits are not right for football etc. It would only cause bad media around the club, but the players have had meetings at several times last year in regards to Lance as captain, while Kouta was injured. But i'm quite confident they wont name him captain, if it does hapen i'll eat my words and support him like i do every carlton player, but he doesnt have the whole playing group behind him.

I would give the Captaincy to Andrew Walker,Brett Thornton or even Ryan Houlihan,Nick Stevens or Heath Scotland before Lance Whitnall.

Thornton asked for a trade and you would give him the captaincy???

i do agree with Scotland though.....could be a dark horse.

i dont hate him.
I just think his lack of professionalism and the lack of professionalism of some of his mates is the reason were struggling.
He is not a yard stick for the kids to strive to become...
how is me hating him as you thiunk effect how much time Lance spends with the kids in the middle during training?
How much is me hating Lance effect how professional Lance is with his own temple?
Or whatabout his inability to play football at todays breakneck speed ?

He points alot to others to pick up a man he is unable to pick up himself.
He has become a seagull.. he sneaks around the back and swoops on a loose ball and everyone thinks brains..
He gets outjumped for marks.
He isnt a CHB
He isnt a CHF
He cant play FB
And he wont ever beat Fev to FF
He is taking up a spot from Bower Setanta Fisher or Waite..

Whats his role???

Considering he is not a frontliner... shouldnt he be busting a gut at least sharing time with the kids after training and allowing some of his knowledge to rub off??

Nope... he packs up and heads for the showers before everyone.. even though he has done less work.

Some fair points in there but extraordinarily you then say "Or whatabout his inability to play football at todays breakneck speed ?". He just won a B+F and came top 3 the year before which makes this particular comment look ridiculous. I don't mind if you don't like the bloke but clearly he CAN play the game at today's "breakneck" speed which deep down even you surely know though you won't dare admit it on here.

Also, how is he taking up a spot for the guys you mentioned above when all 4 played along with Lance in the one team towards the end of the year? Most would agree that Fisher and Waite are in our best team and Setanta is firmly establishing himself down back and Bower at this stage is just a kid so I don't see how Lance is keeping any one of those players out of the team Synbad...

best and fairest.. at the end of the year... who would have thought???? eh???... !!!

Well like i keep saying hes right up there with Teague and Corey...

Where are they now????

Being at the bottom is hardly a good indicator of what a great player is...
