The problem with putting deadlines on these types of things is that whenever there are a few more loose ends to tie up, the person who stamped the original deadline looks like a dill.
Things are going to happen and will happen soon... 100% pre Christmas. I think it would be a smart move to wait until just after the draft, but thats just an opinion.
