This is surely a no-brainer. Lance would surely have to get the job. Be by far the best actual leader of the two.

So the same supporters that derided and mocked Nick Stevens for being 'soft' and 'unaccountable' at several games last season now want him to be captain?

Lance should get it, he is the best candidate from an admittedly average field.

Out of those 2, I'd prefer to give it to Stevens, but only until one of the kids steps up to the role.

Stevens sets the example on the training track, talks well to the media and sponsors and is professional in his preparation.
Not just when he feels like it.
What's more, I actually think it will make him a better player.

Spot on!!!

I want my leaders to take the tough jobs - not the easy ones.

Leaders get the tough jobs and are not one-dimensional.

Stevens is far fitter and far more durable than Whitnall.... i want my leaders to be fit and to take on the big guns..

Rotating captains for mine. I'd rather wait untill one of the kids is ready to appoint a permanent leader.

Bugger the rotating weird crap, why is it that you always need two people being Captain, guys hosting a crap show like Idol or whatever with 2 guys presenting the show, like they holding hands,2 guys hosting the footy show, what's next they have a bed for both of them to be in it.

Yah,but it will eventually be a bed for 5,when there will be 5 people presenting the news or a program or 5 Captains.

You have a good point rambo. The dual captain idea is pretty new age sus. There is no reason why one person couldn't be strong enough to do the job by themselves, it's the decison makers who are weak.
