I've upped the grade to grade 3 but if the person, which I think is appropriate. We take the view that most times people are unaware that they have defamed. If its an on going issue despite warnings, then we will ban.

I've removed the rmit links (which did work last month) and provide a link to an internet and defamation website that provides a bit more information.

im not tryin to be a smarty pants here but how come the 4 letter word for human faeces is allowed but the four letter word for the male genitalia beginning with C is not allowed ?!?!

I would have thought the faeces related word would be more offensive than the genitalia word to the easily offended

actually grrofunger, your right. I thought the word that was used was describing the female genitalia. Checking my PM, I definately got that wrong. However, it was inapproriate from a defamation point of view. (not that I necessarily disagree with the comment)

I joined this forum because I was told it was open to all comment within reason (ie rumour / saitre / and alitle bit of niggle). I suppose I should have joined earlier when this was still allowed.

How do we self censor rumours and other snippets that come across the desk without fear of a shut out?

I suppose the Carlton Board have deemed it to be subversive.
