Some of you would have seen my posts about getting a seat at the Draft on Saturday, well here are some pics that I got of GIBBS about 10 minutes after being selected.

How happy does Ratts look?

Much thanks to Carlton God for helping this helpless, yet typical of a woman to get the images uploaded - greatly appreciated! :-D

Notice they gave him a copy of 'The Blue Boys' a history of the CFC.

That's nice.

Hope they wrote the address for the Blueseum inside the front cover. 8)

Thanks for that guys.

Arriving at the TD was quite surreal as my head kept whipping around looking at player this and coach that. I was waiting for the Carlton contingency to rock up and they did take a while and but came in smaller groups.

One thing I will say is that clubs have a hell of alot of people involved on Draft Day - minimum of a dozen per club.

I got front row seats for the area that was designated for NAB competition winners but unfortunately the Victory Room has way too many pillars that it was hard to see what was happening at the Carlton table.

The guys that were not on the table were standing at the back of the area marked for Club Officials & Player Managers. Ratts was there with Crosisca, Coutts and Malouf and some other guy I did not recognise.

One thing I did notice was how quickly Crosisca went over to welcome GIBBS.

There was a definite buzz in the room and although I have never been involved in one, it seemed to me what a high stakes poker match would be about.

Everyone was friendly [Collingwood officials saying howdy to Balme etc] Essendon* and Brisbane steered clear of each other........

The one sour note was watching the schmuck Kennett rock up looking like an absolute slob IMO - his clothes looked wrinkled and unwashed. He proceeded to get a photographer moved because he was in his line of vision.

Bear in mind what I stated previously about too many pillars and you get my point about how unreasonable the request to move was. Also please note that the photographer had been standing there for about 5 minutes before Kennett came to sit down.

Kennett and Pelchen - dinks!

Great day watching it all happen and seeing the vultures that are the player managers scribbling frankly as the names were read out - probably the hardest they have ever had to work for a living.

Great day and we got GIBBS!

Great idea.

Is this a new initiative?

Good to see we're putting some emphasis on our rich history and it's relevance towards our youngsters.

Great job DUC. Were you 1 of the 3 ladies outside the dome on the seat when all the CFC guys left late after the draft? One of you asked if BG was still inside?

I can't believe CG helped you out. What an old softy he is under the gruff personna

A few shovels of sand would have made that photographer move quick smart.

Great photos BTW.

The grey guy was Malouf and the unknown man at the back was standing sans computer so still not sure who he was.

CG is a big softie and was very nice to me in helping me share these pics.

I was not one of the 3 ladies at the end of the draft.
