Interview with Nick Stevens on Sports 927 this morning.

He talks about Gibbs so I know Tyrants will listen.

Hopes we have enough good midfielders so all of them won't get tagged.

Who was tagging him during the interview? Did he give lots of easy "yeah nahs" or did he go in for his own words?

Speaks very well
I think he'd handle the extra responsibility of captaincy, and might even improve his own game with it..

Spoke very well. As a mouthpiece for the club, he's certainly streets ahead of his fellow candidate for the captaincy. There's more to captaincy than that, of course, but it certainly can't hurt.

As an aside, a fit Nick Stevens might surprise a few people in 2007 - despite some flaws, I think we forget how dynamic he can be.

Wait till 2007

Stevens will be better because he is fitter and will not have the pressure on him with Murphy there all year and if Gibbs is in the middle.

Will always see him as a one way player with poor defensive skills who allows taggers to get under his skin. But with more talent in the middle ( dont forget Simmo and Walker) there will be less focus on him .

It is hard to play when you only have yourself to pass it too (apart from Scotland of course).
