This is getting more absurd.

Smorgon has added four new people to the board to replace the two who resigned tonight.

They are Ralph Carr, Zac Fried, Mark Harrison and Stephen Moulton. But they still have to survive the AGM :?

So much for downsizing

It's all about GS building up his numbers ...

The man has no shame

So does that make it 12? I'm confused, 12 into 6 doesn't work out :?

So I take it these guys are just Smorgon lackeys then?

This is confusing for a gumby such as myself.

How many board members does it take to screw in a light bulb?

10 out of the 12 directors are up for election at the AGM....Greg Lee and Sticks being the two who don't have to go up.....This is a joke....It will now make it easier for a ticket as there is no need for an EGM as there are enough spots up for grabs......

This is getting beyond a joke. How many people on the current board have actually been elected ?- probably only half.

I count those 4, plus Newton and Gleeson as "appointed". Is there anywhere in the constitution of the club where it says you can just fill up the board with your buddies????

The only Directors elected by the members are Smorgan, Lee, Rose, Sticks, Wilson and Diggins.......

The Smorgan appointees are Newton, Gleeson, Moultan, Harrisson, Carr and Fried.....

You guys are assuming all new apointees are Smorgon appointees. Perhaps some are there as independants but are being used to simply firm up Smorgon's position and to avoid conflicting parties contesting the election. Dig deeper boys.

Nothing but another attempt to cloud the waters even more...

The runnings of this football club are as clear as mud right now...

Make no mistake about it...These guys are not in there just to fill up the numbers. Moulton and Harrison in particular are extremely unhappy at the way things have been run...and at the way Smorgon has handled the situation since taking over the presidency. Both would be MORE THEN HAPPY to see him off the board completely (which i think you'll find will be the final result of this little situation anyway). As stated in the herald sun, Harrison and Moulton do indeed have the support of Fraser Brown, amongst various other influencial figures. If they were to mount a challenge, it would be a very very strong one.
All of this comes DIRECTLY from the horses mouth. I just hope they can make a change for the better and guide our club towards brighter days.

For those of you who wanted any info on Mark Harrison:

Mark is a very successful young businessman who in only his late 30's has risen to the top of his company, Ash Morgan, and overseen their national expansion. Mark is one of those guys that just seems to be successful in everything he does. More importantly, he's a MAD carlton fan...probably the biggest supporter i know to be honest. Never misses a game and really wears his heart on his sleeve. A very passionate guy, which translates into his business style.
In my opinion, he'd make a trerrific president; Very similar to Eddie Maguire (I know i know...the filth!...but keep in mind the pies' off-field performance under maguire). Mark would be devoted to getting the club back on track, and would have a solid plan for how to do just that. He tells it like it is, and has extremely good connections in the corporate world...always a plus!

Mark who?
What are his business credentials?
What money can he or the others bring to the club?
Who are their corporate contacts ?
What is their businessplan?
Why dont they run for a board seat at an election before being invited onto a board 3 months before election time?

Im a passionate Carlton person too... hardly makes me board material... but looking at the herd of bananas sitting on our board... i would be the cream of this board....

Fair dinkum if this isnt the biggest slap in the face for your average Carlton supporter and the ghosts of all those fine men that have made this club what it is... i dont know what is!!!

They got Valmorbida to resign... who had won an election and since that election how mant people have been invied onto this board???

And why have them invited on 3 months before elections when they can run a campaign and actually win a vote by having a legit platform???

Smells like shit... looks like shit... i dont have to taste it to know it is shit!!!....

TC is going to be very busy in the next 3 months.

Expect lots of new usernames to pop up supporting one side or the other.

Hopefully those that do can be as transparent as possible about who they are and where their interests lay.

And therein lies the problem.
It was some time ago that I feared something like this. But our board can't see it coming. 10 years of Pagan would be better than the mess we have now off the field.
