I have at home in a blue velvet box with a little trinket inside that was presented to me in 1987 by Bob Hawke on the podium at the Mecca. I think after time it's gone purple but regardless is something you people will never have at least not earned like i did, I played and toyed with you lightweights over the last week or so and you have demonstrated your complete lack of understanding on what is required to obtain one of those and more to the point what makes a club tick and why we're in this position now. Hang on to your forum because it's the closest thing you'll ever have to having some semblance of how a club ticks even if born out of ignorance.

I'll leave you with this, grow up, instead of whinging, have a go yourself, put you own little ticket together of McDonalds workers and see how your cards fall that's the beauty of a democracy other than that shut up and put your money where your mouth is it won't happen because you're weak. Stand up for yourselves and do so without hiding behind your key board.

Cha Cha
Contemptuous

I haven't read enough to know whether you are genuine or not Sal but it is a shame when people feel they are getting forced to leave a site. All of the Blues sites have experienced this from time to time and is probably reflective of our predicament which has created a massive divide in the supporter base. I sometimes wonder how much of our sense of comraderie will still be intact by the time we have nothing but good times surrounding us.

If you really do have that 87 trinket, more's the pity.

Cheers

Sal is'nt being "forced" to leave anywhere. :?
Your inference is ill informed in this case.

I said 'feel like they are being forced'. It's all in the comprehension. He obviously feels like he has to leave because he either is incapable of fitting in, or is frustrated with responses he is getting.

I don't know him or his circumstances, but do have an opinion on the supporter base fracturing. No need for the rolleyes BV, you've just misunderstood my intention.

We have both seen people leave before, from this site and the others. They just seem to elicit the wrong type of response from day dot and the die is pretty much cast from there.

Sorry ODN,but that is a load of old cobblers.

Sal,like a number of other new members of late has clearly an agenda.

Regardless of who they are the "mouthpieces" of they leave themselves open to criticism like any of us!

Then there are others, who despite the intentions of some, don't leave. :-D

"feel they are getting forced" not "getting forced"

The treatment on Sal has been shameful over the last week or so and I thought better of the people on this forum. Surely we have have a discussion of differing opinions without getting personal and acting like bigfooty trolls.

Not defending Sal at all. Read a few of his opinions, some I agreed with, some I didn't. Let's face it 7Dom, many posters have an agenda, even some of the long standing ones move from agenda to agenda. Sal probably wasn't ingrained enough for any credence to be given to his agenda.

I hear what you are saying about being open to criticism as well. It's a pity some start off by drawing criticism before they have been around enough to bounce back from it. Forums are communities, you have to integrate first before trying to change opinions.

The old bloke, I was born in this town, they're going to have to carry me out in a pine box.

The newbies haven't assimilated yet, so are prone to getting scared and throwing in the towel. Need to take time to walk around, do a meet and greet, start off small and then move on to the big issues in the big stream, where the water moves faster and you need to know how to swim.

I hope this thread doesn't turn into some sort of shitfight, right on the eve of Christmas.

I'm gonna go shopping.

Absolute nonsense.
Have a read of the post at the top of this topic and get back to me.
Sal has been far more personal than anyone has with him.
He has come here to play political games. He and others will sign up over the next month and try to manipulate your vote.
In my view, they are treating us with contempt.

IMO In this instance, he has fallen short of the mark and taken his bat and ball and gone home.

What makes this thread so special? Good luck braving the throng of seagulls all fighting over that last discounted chip.
