If you are a paid member can you vote and specifically how will this process be conducted.

You need to be a paid member who has registered for voting rights. Just being a paid member isn't enough, you need to call the club and register yourself.

Even if people have registered in the past, there have been many instances of names dropping off the list, so everyone needs to ring in and check their voting status before the election.

Would you vote for a Pratt lead ticket if (in the future) members had less control/say at election time? Meaning members could no longer vote who is elected etc and Pratt assigns the people who he wants to control the club.

I am all for Pratt saving our skins but we need to know what we are voting for. I suppose this information will come out in due course.

Merry Chrissy everyone.

Finally we may be getting close to the end game. (If true) I am glad the AGM will be early. Let's get this over and done with, showdown at high-noon (only a month or so away).

Ever since BT on MMM raised the Pratt possibility many of us have been impatient, whispers here, whispers there. It will finally be a relief for the alternate tickets to reveal themselves.

Hopefully, Italian Blue's info is good. The Pratt money would be great, however, business acumen, planning, etc are needed just as much. We are begging for professionalism at the top.

It'll be very interesting to see how things pan out.

Dennis.

The Richard Pratt backed Ticket has withdrawn due to the limited time now available to it to commit a 10 person ticket due to the AGM being on 8 Feb 07..... The Ticket had 5 people confirmed however the other 5 had not committed and are on holidays and won't be back until the end of Jan 07....

This is very dissapointing as this ticket would have won and would have put the club back on track.......The problem being that all nominations have to be in by 8 Jan 07....

It appears that the Tom Elliot ticket will proceed and there appears to be another ticket of 5 which has been already formalised however this ticket will target the likes of Marcus Rose, Simon Wilson, Lorraine Diggins, Ralph Carr, Steve Moultan and possibly Smorgan......

Not only do we have problems on the field and off the field, but we have problems off-off the field.

If we achieve one thing in this election - it must be ridding the club of Smorgon

Surely the other 5 must be contactable :?

5 would be enough to tip the balance of power. Sounds more like this was a fantasy in the first place.

shit. who takes the entire month of January off?

if smorgon has set this date to deliberately make it difficult for challengers to get a ticket together, then shouldn't anyone challenging be able to come up with a strategy to deal with this setback and get on with it?

germany fricking invaded all of western europe in the time the challengers still have.

people make critical decisions regarding millions of dollars wherever they are in the world, thanks to the wonders of modern telecommunications.

if we can't be presented with a viable alternative to the incompetence that is g.smorgon, then I just give up.

if smorgon wants to control the club so badly, he can frickin have it. but his low-rent political machinations won't be attracting any of my membership money. or my kids.
