A chequered past history as a CFC Director.

A seemingly shrewd business man with a passion to succeed.

A ‘Carlton man’ with excellent ‘Carlton/AFL’ business contacts/associates.

If he runs for a CFC Board position will he get your vote of support?

I would be happy for him to be president providing he had the full support of the board.

Having a stable united board is the most important issue IMO.

Anyone who was there when he spoke at the AGM at Moonee Valley when we were gunnign for Elliott will remember him.

Up until he spoke, I had heard great things about him. Then he opened his mouth. He 'lost' any support he might have had with a stammerting and hopeless display.

He appears to be good in the boardroom, but he lacks something in public presentation. I wouldn't mind him on the board at all, but not as head honcho. We need someone who can be a good preseident, but who also can appear to be a good president.

His performance at the AGM in 2002 was deplorable, displayed absolutely no leadership skills, nor an ability to speak or pacify a hostile crowd.

Previous Vice President and board member during Elliot's reign when club breached salary cap and we still havent recovered from that disaster.

He had his chance and was not up to it.

I've brought up delutis's name a few times in the past and of course the sheep wouldnt have a bar of it. Look at you lot now with 80% wanting him involved again. Just when I think I've seen it all from you sheep you produce a doozy and surprise me yet again.. baaaaaaaa and happy bleating in the future.

Don't like him.
And I know it's not neccesary to like your board members - it's only important that they do the job - but a man who, in his one appearence before the members, belittled them and dismissed them... I don't know if I can endorse a bloke who clearly felt that the presidency was his, and that the average member wasn't the sort of person who wanted what was best for the club.

That's the attitude that stuck with me.

If he can organise a credible ticket and remove the self interested incumbents, I'll back him all the way.

I assume there would be "BlueSkys" if a Colin Delutis board was to get up

What has anyone got to gain personally by being on the Carlton board?

If Colin was in a Morris Dancing band would he be Colin DeLutis the lutist? And if so I dont think that the board has room for another lutist. We already have a mandolin player, a sitarist, a harpist, a ukele player and a banjo

What, the 'sheep' gibe again... Geez CG, you really are a one-trick pony...

Like De Lutis or not, apparently due to Smorgo's stupid timing for the AGM and nominations for the election De Lutis has not have the time to finalize a ticket, and organise 'significant financial contributors'...

...but this was in the Hun, so it could be all bullshit. :P

Has the date of the AGM actually been set? If so wouldn't you think the club would post details on our website? The article I read mentioned that Smorgan is about to set the date.

Do members receive official advice on the AGM via post informing us dates etc?

Sheep and white ants may be at the opposite end of the species spectrum but the skill of identifying both or either is limited to a select few such as your arrogant self CG and the almighty Colin Delutis.

What an absolute load of crap.

I’m starting to think that CG and CD are made from the same mould or least have derived from the same womb, ( wink wink ).

Its not unreasonable to arrive at the conclusion that the infamous Colin Delutis performance in front the so called white ants displayed an over inflated opinion of himself, under developed communication skills and a lack of appreciation that the so called white ants or Sheep technically hold the real power at the Carlton Football club so blaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bloody blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

The inference that CD didn't do his presidential prospects any favors that evening is consistent in media reports and the likely acknowledgment of the same from within his own circle would have likely left a massive dent in his ego. Ah the pain…

Keep herding in your dreams CG. blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa '8)'

DenimUndies, while I may wholeheartedly agree with you on this one... I have to say that - reading through your entire 8 posts - you come across as an old face around here(in terms of reading and contributing), and perhaps somebody who has another alter-ego on TC...

...I may be barking up the wrong tree (and if I am I apologise), but if I'm not, wouldn't you think it would be better to post under the nickname people know you as best, rather than a pseudonym (of sorts!) 8)

And yes Blue4ever, AGM date is set, 8th Feb is when it all goes down... *if I remember correctly!*
