I'm more concerned about the real deal than the pre season. The real deal is where it's really at.

So what are our chances, or is the NAB cup not worth any serious consideration?

Who of our young players will get a run, and how far will we go?

I tip NAB cup semi finals or better, with a number of strong performances, which will be a sign of the season to come, until the grind of the home and away season takes its toll, and we fall away to finish somewhere in the bottom 6.

I'm looking forward to seeing 3MM and 5BG getting together and developing! NAB Cup win would be nice .. and a Top 10 finish probable ..

It hurts me to say this....but....I think we'll struggle against the Bombers. Matty Lloyd makes a MASSIVE difference to that team. Frees up Lucas to play CHF or CHB & they look better instantly.
Having said that, I'll be happy as Larry if the Blues prove me wrong. I'll be there supporting loudly til I'm hoarse. Will be rapt if we play most of our young blokes & show some spirit.
You hear that rumbling sound? The Blues Train is coming back to town.

Essendon* could be at the top of the ladder and we would still give em a run.

Its instinctive. Besides all of my Essendon* friends are bloody annoying when the Bummers win.

I reckon we will sneak in with a 10 point win, fingers crossed.

Why do you need 5 minutes?!

That's how the Swans do so badly every WCC .. they don't care, and they field pretty much only rookies .. but I don't care, either, because seeing the Swans lose is ohhh so sweet!!

... sorry, I thought they gave #5 to BG .. maybe I'm dixlesic or immunerate ... I still wanna see the two young guns tear it up!!

p(12)terg....... forgive my ignorance, but, how do you do that? quote multiple quotes in one post?

Think the Kangas will go ok in the NAB cup......have been flying on the track and had an early start to training and should be more advanced than most.
Lachlan Hansen has been really starring at training and I'd to see how good he is.

Hope Essendon* and Carlton play all their kids...plenty of debate over who got the best last draft and I'll be keen to see Gumbleton, Davey, Hislop, Houli vs our newbies and see who got it right.
Be nice to win but its about player development and in particular seeing a player like Hartlett perform and see where he is at...both the bombers and blues are at similar stages in rebuilding and one is going to overtake the other and probably have the edge over a number of years like in the past..

Funny you should say that NTBlue - I was on the tram the other day going past that very pond - when I noticed that it was *completely* empty!!

In fact, kids were skateboarding on the bottom... no idea why it's empty, mentioned to the cheese and kisses that the water was so crappy that it was no use elsewhere... WHERE DID THE WATER GO!?

Oh, and ryan2000 - misquoting? punishable by death...
