OK, so Barrack Obama got me started with this when he said we'd make the eight this year. Try and put down what your expectations are for the Blues for season 2007.

1. How far will we go in the NAB Cup?

2. What will be our ladder position at the end of season 2007? How many wins will we have?

3. Who will be our most improved player?

4. Who will win the Best and Fairest?

5. Which of the 2006 draftees will prove a surprise packet?

6. Which of the 2004 draftees is going to vindicate our faith in them first?

7 How will the Bullants go?

8. Which player are you most looking forward to seeing debut with the Blues in 2007?

9. When do you think we might cause our biggest upset?

1. I think that we will beat Essendon* and Hawthorn.

2. 11th position.

3. Setanta O'Hailpin.

4. Nick Stevens / Marc Murphy.

5. Sean Grigg.

7. Jordan Russell.

8. Top three.

9. GIBBS

10. . . . When we play St Kilda.

I'll go first

1. I don't expect us to beat Essendon* in the NAB Cup. They are ahead of us in terms of preparation, and Sheedy has the Bummers all revved up to try and show something this year. The NAB Cup game will be about giving a taste of senior action to Gibbs, Grigg, and maybe Edwards, as well as bringing Saddington into the game for a run

2. I think we'll finish 14th. Last year I tipped us for the spoon, so I am a lot more upbeat this year. We'll have about seven wins, and these chat rooms will be awash with tanking discussions, because most of these wins will occur after round 12. We'll finish ahead of North Melbourne and one other - maybe Essendon*, depending on injuries.

3. Most improved player - I always think greatest improvement comes from those who have debuted the season before. That makes it a choice out of Murphy, Kennedy, Bower, Blackwell, O'Hailpin, and a few others I've probably forgotten. I think big Josh Kennedy will be the most improved now that his shoulder is right and he has a pretty full pre-season behind him

4. Best and Fairest - Nick Stevens. Injury free, and will start to show the doubters that he is a class act.

5. Shaun Grigg. The foot skills he has are almost unique in our side, and as a result he will be given more opportunity than others on the list such as Anderson and Benjamin. I suspect he is the type of linkman who could be very valuable on a half forward flank for us.

6. Luke Blackwell. I hope Adam Hartlett also starts to make positive strides this year. Raso probably needs a year in the Bullants, and we'll have to see what role Pagan has planned for JR

7. Bullants should do well. But I don't get a chance to see them, so don't want to say too much. It should be a young and promising side though.

8. Jake Edwards. This kid sounds like he could be an awesome footballer. I hope he gets a chance to shine this year. I remember his granddad saying that out of the long list of family league footballers that Jake was the very best!

9. I think we have a real chance to knock off Adelaide. Their side is ageing, and without any pressure on us if we play some free-flowing football I think they are the sort of side we can trouble

1 - 2nd round
2 - 14th, 7 wins
3 - Wiggo
4 - AWWWWW STEVENS.....
5 - Grigg, given that most people here weren't too pleased when we got him. Austin next
6 - Blackwell
7 - Semi Finals
8 - GIBBS
9 - Rounds 1-22 and the finals. Being realistic, We're always a good chance to knock off Collingwood, Essendon* and Richmond.

Firstly, should probably make a note of these predictions somewhere because they will be very accurate

1. How far will we go in the NAB Cup? Not sure of scheduling for after the second round yet, but I'd say we'd go as far as Tasmania. Think we'll surprise - semi finals for us.

2. What will be our ladder position at the end of season 2007? How many wins will we have? 7th position - 12 wins

3. Who will be our most improved player? Setanta O'Hailpin, closely followed by Jarrad Waite

4. Who will win the Best and Fairest? Marc Murphy

5. Which of the 2006 draftees will prove a surprise packet? Hampson - will develop quicker than people think

6. Which of the 2004 draftees is going to vindicate our faith in them first? Bower - 16-22 senior games for him this year

7 How will the Bullants go? Very deep into the finals - probably grand final

8. Which player are you most looking forward to seeing debut with the Blues in 2007? Gibbs (also Hartlett)

9. When do you think we might cause our biggest upset?[/quote] The last Saturday in September, failing that, Eagles in Perth

On my prediction...which is an exact science...we wil:

LOOSE TO;

ADELAIDE
PORT ADELAIDE
ST KILDA
WEST COAST
FREMANTLE
SYDNEY

ON OUR DAY, WE CAN BEAT:

GEELONG
W BULLDOGS
MELBOURNE

AND WE SHOULD BEAT:

Essendon*
COLLINGWOOD
HAWTHORN
KANGAROOS
BRISBANE
RICHMOND

So we might win up to 12 games...on that theory.

But in realtiy: 7-8 games
