Can anyone tell me the size of jumper I would need for a 5 year old boy?

The online description at the carlton shop is not great. The seem to be more for toddlers than children just that little bit older.....(Also need a long sleeve)

I am in SA so any help would be great as I want to buy it online.

Thanks.

Muzza

Well my youngest is 4 and a half, but tall for his age, so he would be roughly the right height. He is medium sized in his build - not skinny - not chunky
Just to check I tried his XS (size 6) long sleeve Carlton jumper on this evening.
(I bought the size 6 last year to get at least two seasons out of it)

It is still a bit long in the arms - that is fine as the sleve has ribbed cuffs
It is still a bit longinsh - makes it all the way to the bottom of his backside
- but that is fine too as it means it can be tucked in - and there is growing up room left.
The only hassle is the trunk. It just fitted over him in a tshirt.
A boy who is much heavier set would be wearing it tightish.

The other trick you can use is to get a size 8 or 10 with no sleves, and wear
something else underneath - just a suggestion.

Just get an adults S/M - he'll grow into it, even if it's down to his ankles now... :P

But seriously, how much do the kids jumpers go for retail? I'm looking to get one for my 8 year old brother... just before he goes to his first game... :)

Was in the Nike Shop in Smith St yesterday. They had last season's Jumpers in there for $70. No kids sizes but they did have Adult smalls. I had my 10 yo with me but they were way too big for him. Cheap footy boots in there at the moment.
