But in the end, it's not where we finish............it's the fact that we go out there and play with some balls rather than let teams cross us of their list before the game starts because we're a pack of pussy's and we're seen as a walk over!
I'm with you Ryan. I want respect. I want to play tough and uncompromising footy. I want to fight to win every game. I don’t care if it means the difference between picks 1 AND 2 or pick 10, because I sure as hell don’t want to be the type of club that forsakes season upon season of ‘building’ for a crack at a premiership every 8 years. Premiership teams don't always have No. 1 draft picks, but they all play hard.
I want spirit and desperation. I want to go to the footy every week, knowing I will get everything the players have. If we lose I want the opposition to feel it. I want tackles that knock the wind out of those filthy bastards, and I want them to be thinking about THAT the next time they go near the footy. I want to know that someone will fly the flag.
I can’t remember the last time we played footy like that.
And the next time Kouta is being lined up by Brock McLean (I think) for a shepherd (last quarter), instead of pulling up, I want Kouta to look him in the eye and bump him into next week.
... and that's ALL I want.
