... how good the woven emblem on the jumper looked against Melbourne in the last ever home and away match?

I do know there is a push by a couple of the board members to have it back full time.. what do you people think??

i reckon....

BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!

yes I loved the old woven style, the new htingy looks too...cheap I think is the word. Now the old one...well really its like comparing Mike and Dan to the Ghost, give me the old one any day!

Nothing beats the woven emblem.

Although the way the front of the jumper looks, should be the last of Carlton's worries atm...

Yes there was discussion before the game about it. Someone ran a poll, opinion was very split.

I like both.

It could be said that the new one is more traditional than the 70's 80's version because it is a representation of our shield monogram.

The only tradition associated with the 70's 80's monogram are the number of premierships won in them. Well we won plenty of premierships wearing a chamois yoke as well, are we going to bring that back as well?

The 70s80s monogram were only the way they were because of technological constraints.

How about we look forwards as a club instead of backwards?

Would have thought there were far more important issues for our board members to be attending to than this.

I loved the look of the "last match" jumper. Brought back a lot of memories of great times watching the Blues in my youth.

Princes Park, Buzz, Sticks, Premiership quarter goal-fests, Flags.......

I loved how they were all different sized emblems...
The dominators covered his whole chest and Sticks looked just right.. on some guys it looked small... it was like Goldilocks and the 3 bears...
I couldnt work out if they were all the same size but looked different on different players or they were all made in some cheap sweatshop.. but i loved them.

I think you'd be surprised. Board members listen and ask questions...namely of Mr. Malouf...and this seems to be working quite well as it wasn't done from 1985 - 2002. I think it's very important that a decision is made at board level to discuss the jumper. I do not like the current design - it does look cheap, while the other looks bold and sharp.
Priority picks - this isn't a discussion from the board at Carlton or anywhere...that's football department and Col, Hughesy, Denis Denis, Sticks and Seagull will be making the call on this with minor input from Collo who's agenda item at the board meeting will be "...item 3.7 - football department has recommended that ..." "...any objections?.." "....item 3.8...we've had a request that sticks sings stand by your man at the brownlow this year...any objections?"

I loved the farewell "Optus" jumper. I would love to see it back full time. It should, at the very least, be our "heritage jumper" rather than the contrived thing that we wear ever year.

Don't know, when I saw it last we had 18 guys who would bleed for the jumper, when do you think it went missing?

Oooh hard to out a finger on when it may have gone missing.. probably circa 2002 and 2003..???

Funny how things can go missing... we just found the RD Barrassi trophy in "some room" a few months ago.. it was missing for 30 years....
Why didnt we wait and 'find' it when we got some more good players.. (Yes Marky Mark.. after the priority pick!!) .. i just thought i should beat you there.. cos theres no doubt youd throw in another one of your real witty remarks  )

before the last PP game (that's princes park NOT that other thing .. !!) i was all for retaining the current monogram design.

but those "last game" jumpers looked fantastic and "converted" me back to the old style.

the one they wore at the last game is the best by a mile
