Ther season half way Longmuir and Chambers most people thought would play at least 17 games but both have played hardly any.I'm not sure how long their contracts are but contracts mean shit also as in Ricky Mott case do you think they will keep both or cut one or both

I think the club will keep both actually Rambo. Not least the fact they have contracts but also we're trying to build some depth in the list and being able to use Longmuir or Chambers next year would add to this. I don't think either player is on anything remarkable salary wise so unless some club specifically wanted to trade for them (unlikely) then you'd think they'd stay for 2006. After that all bets are off.

PS: Heard there's a new Rambo film in the offing. Apparently Rambo is getting back to his Native American roots when his daughter is kidnapped by white supremacists.

What your take on this Rambo?

Expect both to stay.

Also expect both to play some more senior footy before the years out.

Both should stay. Chambers was a semi-regular member of the best midfield in the comp: no shame there. He will be a vaulable part of your midfield with his long and precise kicking and good endurance. In fact, his injury problems have robbed you of one of your key drivers from the Wizzer Cup.

Longmuir is an interesting one. There were already 2 small forward opportunists at Freo so he was really surplus to their requirements. He actually played some decent footy for Freo when Medhurst/Farmer were out of the side. Probably needs to add some more strings to his bow other than being a small forward who can take a mark. He will probably need to be able to rotate throgh the midfield if he wants a long-term career at Carlton.

Yes. Both have struggled with injuries. But both can contribute something to our list. Skill and speed (in Chambers' case). I'd be surprised if they're not on the list for another 3 or 4 years.

Sure hope we retain both.Have not seen the best of this pair by a long shot. Both very capable players and provide great depth.I rate T Lo very highly. If Red and Fev could fire,T LO could be dynamite.Very classy polished player.

Too many 'coulds' in there Mickstar. There is no time for 'could have's' in footy. It's about making the most of your opportunities, especially at Carlton, and in our case we just don't have the time to wait around all day for when a player decides to come good.

In fact I think it is this very fact which is killing us at the moment, and until we get the right mix of guys together, the club cannot afford to wait forever for a player to get his act together!

My gut feeling is that Chambers will get another year, and that Longmuir will be on his ear... his brother re-signing with Freo didn't help his Carlton career......

I suspect they'll be a big cleanout and a lot of new talent brought in, and those guys who sit on the rim of the side are in trouble.. and Longmuir's one.

I think we could get some value out of both guys... but I doubt both will be retained.
