Synbad - I agree with most of your thoughts however not all players have to be like Ratten, Hickmott etc. Bradley wasn't the hardest player going around however he was class. Camp is not in the same class however he has been a very good player for our club and I don't think you can just judge him on our performance over the past three years.

I do agree he he is being exploited in defence and he has to play up forward.

Cut his salary by a third if not more and I think we will have the right balance.

Having only three midfielders is madness.

I didn't realise we had that many

Id say we only have 2 good ones. Kouta and Stevens... then a couple more jobbers who play a part.

I don't care how much money Whitnall or Campo get... thats our fault not theirs. Of course they'd take whatever money they're offered... we all would!

But they're both leaders... and neither do any leading.

Credit where its due: Whitnall played well. I hope he keeps it up. Its the sort of output we know he's capable of.

But both shit me because they don't seem to give a stuff about the jumper. Campo's not only NOT a leader, but is counterproductive by setting poor examples.

We need a single mindset... and I don't think they have it.

There are only so many excuses we can make for them.

The writing's on the wall for both

Take out Campo, Kouta to retire in two years and all we're left with is Stevens. Somehow we need to find 4 to 5 top line midfielders who can play as well as Williams, Brown, Ratten, Bradley, Kouta and Campo.

Given we have tried Hulme, Cranage, Plunkett, Fletcher, Franchina, Freeborn, Nelson, Doering, Bentick, Johnson just to name a few, th track record since Williams retirement 8 years ago is woeful.

I know it makes everyone feel good to bracket Camporeale with the above players. Truth is, a well thought out succession plan has never been considered.

All successful teams have at least five top line midfilelders. You say we only have two. That will soon become one. Irrelevant if it's two or three or will be one. All of the three I have mentioned have dropped off in form in the last three years, simply because three are trying to do the work of six.
