Campo is unsatisfied with the new contract offered.. its half of what Blue Mark would have offered....Lucky BM , Surrey and verbs dont run this club...
BM bitches about lack of support for Whitnal and Campo.. yet these two suck up 1.2 milliuon of the salary cap.. So when BM talks about the lack of support from the second tier to the two blood suckers he doesnt understand why we dont get a good support staff... we have 2 million going out to 3 blokes over the hill.... that makes that hard..

As for LEADERSHIP.. people ask me to define what i want Campo doing....
Well for starters he could have played for less $$$$$$$ like Fev so we can affors others to join the club and make thir job easier... BUT... what would be wrong with Campo.. going to Denis and saying "Denis.. i want Arkemanis this week.. dont burn kids by playing them on Arka.. i want to do it..!!!!!!!!!!!... play Walker in my role and allow him to get his confidence up .. in the mean time.. ill sacrifice my game and put Arka out of an effective game for us... i dont think its fair to play Walker.. Wiggo etc on players like McLeod every week... while i go creating possies for myself instead of creating play...

I want Arka Denis!!!!!"

Now Arka is on less than half Campos wages.. but he is 3 time AA??... 3 times premiership player... brownlow medallist ...and currently their est player..

Of course Campo wouldnt do that.. he isnt worth licking Arkemanis muddy boots. Why would Campo take on the responsibilty of putting Arkemanis away ???

We have blokes who want the $$$$$$$$ but wont get fit and stay fit.. wont take the real jobs a young team needs its leaders to take and are unhappy when fonally the club offers them their real worth.
Someone posted.. "Synbad... did Campo sleep with your Mrs?"... Campo did something alot worse!!!!.......He and others for years have been having an orgyof excesses and gluttony at the alter of the place i worhip at!!!!!

Someones caught up with them... tapped them on the shoulder and said "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!... the gravy train ride is OVER"Lance will be shipped off... when BM Surrey and Co are all ticked off that Lance isnt going to be here next year... (unless noone wants him and he plays for base) just remember.. what has LANCE DONE.. for this footy club in recent years?
Whats Campo done???
Where have they taken us???

Easy to talk about no second tier but the pigs with their noses in the troft have made it impossible for us to develop the team.. to grow a second tier...

I wouldnt give a rats what happens to these guys...

7Dom has seen it with the 'WAXING'

Denis is doing a grand job changing a cancerous culture...

Not going anywhere till thats been dealt with...
Were not that bad are we???

So why the hell are we that bad???.... its allo foul residue.. it hasnt been eliminated yet.. but it almost is..!!!

Thanks Fev for helping set the tone for a new vibrant club culture...

The winds they are a changing....

BM, Surrey and verbs dont like whats going on???... bad luck!!!!

Any chance another club, say Port or the Crows, would be interested in taking him?

Reckon Port could do with an experienced midfielder.

His management have had NO offers...or interest..

Who the hell needs a Ronnie Burns???

Who would give a 31 year old wingman more than what we would????

thats all Campo ever was... a wingman made by other players but asked for twice what he deserved.. and was given it...

When the other players fell over ... he was exposed..!!!
couldnt handle the tag.... couldnt handle the extra responsibility...

Campo.. take Akka!!!!

Dont go playing the run past player Campo..., take the only dangerous player Brissy have. Dont let a kid do a mans job and burn them Campo.. be a leader....!!!!

Put your hand up and say i am worth more Carlton.. im going to put Arkemanis away.....

Nope.. he will have a kid tag Akka and he will run past for a handball...
SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY PLUS THOUSAND...!!!
Its a young team it needs a rudder... !!!!

Am i too hard on Campo????

Does Casmpo care that kids are being burnt so he can look good???

Its called responsibilty.... he doesnt understand it!!!!

Campo and Whitnall occassionally have their good days, but they are the players who are meant to be filling the shoes of our now departed A grade players on a more consistent basis..

Fact is that they really arent doing that to the extent that we need them to do.

Apart from Kouta, I dont think there has been one of these guys show 4 quarters of desperation and will to win that we have seen in Carlton teams pre 2002. Best we have seen of these leaders is patches of effort that won us 2 and drew us against Port Adelaide.

I think that if the culture Synbad was talking about was truly dead after the 2003 post season cleanout, we would have seen team efforts like the wizard cup win a bit more than we have this year.

I am pretty frustrated with slow starts that concede 3, 4 5 or 6 goals, and then have a bit of a rally in the third quarter to get back in the game and maybe win if we are lucky.

Theres got to be a reason for this, and I think its to do with leadership from those who should be leading.

Campo and co to me embody why were shit...!!!!

Its not JUST Campo.;. its a few before him.. some administrators of the club.. a certain ex president...

But were left with a couple.. that have a contract from those days.. the others are gone.. this couple still wear the navy blue..
One refuses to stay fit!!!
The other shirks responsibility...

But theyre unhappy with being offered less and attempts to trade them...

ITS OVER!!!!!!!!!

DOB - 11/8/75

Makes him 30 in August.

Nice to see Campo is deciding the matchups these days. Do you reckon he could ask Denis to play Lappin forward this week and Houla in the midfield?

Maybe Thornton could tell Denis he'll volunteer to play CHF and save Waite having to play there. Barney could tell him he'll come back whether his knee is ready or not to save Bryan playing 2 on 1 again this week.

I thought Walker played a great game and enjoyed a great learning experience playing on MacLeod, but let's sacrifice that coz a few of us don't like Campo.

Players still running the team, you reckon Denis would know better.

for me the interesting thing is when you ask someone who works at the club, just a run o' the mill perosn doing a 9 to 5 job and you get them talking about players two players always light up their eyes. Fev cos he volunteers for everything, all the time and Livo - seems Livo is just a nice bloke.

So i am glad you sdeem to be saying fev will stick around. he may have bad habits but he piuts in to this club in a big way.

Maybe Denis is having a right royal loaugh to himself as he waits for the leaders to get proactive Brad???

You mean a leader of this footy club cant go up to Denis and say... "I want Akka!!!!.. give me Akka!!!!"Brad thats leadership....

A leader can get proactive... thats what a 650k seasoned player does.. he gets proactive...

Thats why Campo has been offered jack shit!!!!

Reckon Denis wants Campo to be a nothing player???

Mate you have to make do with what you have.. Denis has @#$%&! all!!!!!!
Campo is a nothing player and he is proving it..so let him play for next to nothing...

Im sure Denis would be impressed if he saw some leadership... unfortunately there isnt as any..so Campo might as well be the nothing player at the club..... cos hes just another face in the crowd...

for all his faults... Fev is the heart and soul of the club.

He loves the club and he wants it succesful...

Remember the day we were hammered by Nortth a couple of years ago.. messages from the players to the supporters??

Fevs message went on and on about us all jumping on board nect year blah blah.. the others seemed contrived.. his was from the heart.

Great Post Synbad couldnt agree more with what you have said in regards to Campo. I real servant and loyal player of the club would change roles in his twilight of his career and as you have stated and we are all aware he has been overly generously paid for many years

He should realise the plight the blues are in with regards to showing leadership and showing a good example to the players below him. Play out the last 2 years on a much fairer rate and take on the hard roles and show the kids the way not expose them and watch them flounder when clearly they would not be the best option.

He has been a good servant and in his early years he was protected by a star studded midfiled of Braddles / Kouta / Williams and co. now it is up to him to serve out his twilight years as you have suggested and lead the kids by a good example. If not piss him off and hopefully trade him back to S.A maybe for a decent draft pick we dont need to have players being over payed and not delivering what we currently need. As stated many other much better players are playing for a lot less and would be much better for the blues at this current situation so hopefully he can change and be forward pocket and paid what he is worth or a take on a key opposition mid fielder ect.

When Collo said that Lance was at the crossroads, what he was really alluding to was a lack of leadership.

If we cant find the leaders in our senior players like Campo and Whitnall, then we have to develop new leaders and pay these guys less.

If what synbad is saying is true, then I welcome the end of the 'gravy train' for players than need to show more than they have this season.

We are bottom because we are the worst team in the comp and one of the reasons why we are the worst team right now is a lack of true inspirational leadership of the kind we have grown used to at Carlton over the years.

Our skill level may still stop us from winning, but I really havent seen anough matches this year that we may have still lost because of our yopunger inexperienced players, but were truly gallant losers who gave their all over 4 quarters of footy.

Don't think so.

Lance is at the cross roads with every aspect of his game.

Yes his game is deficient, but if he saw himself as more of a leader on the field, he would have found it within himself to address the deficient aspects of his game and his preparation for it.

So am I reading things right Synbad.... that means they offered $200K (?) for Campo?

And just extrapolating that further, I guess that means Lance won't be offered much more than around $150K then (being the more junior player and all)?

WOW!! That's a big slap in the face for both players! Them's some huge salary slashes! Kinda gives a good indication of where the club thinks these 2 players are at.

A few ex Carlton champions tried to give their thoughts to Pagan and he drove them out the club. He's as stubborn as they come and wouldn't listen to anything Campo would have to say.
