- Didn't confirm or deny the comments in regards to Kouta's 200th game
- Club went through terrible financial times, couldn't be critical of the players
- Didn't talk to Kouta about the meeting he had with the board, he knew that they knew he knew
- Kouta didn't speak to him directly in regards to the points raised with the board
- Winning pre-season cups was good financially
- Kouta entitled to his opinion, one of Carlton's greats, doesn't do any good to get involved in a public slanging match
- Good that Carlton is looking good and he hopes the club does fare well
- Good kids, Stevens return and Judd's recruitment, will have a positive domino effect on our kids

FYI, I went to the footy just to watch Kouta play - even in his latter years. He should not have been made captain but for an absolute leadership vacuum.

If he's gonna drag Pagan into the mire, I wonder what he'll say about another 10-12 people including his manager and other former coaches and presidents .

This is about selling Kouta's book and good luck to him but I would have taken him more seriously if he had come out in public at the time and said the players had lost confidence in Pagan, maybe the club would have acted sooner.

since when is it a crime to speak the truth?!? like you said Kouta is a Carlton man, Pagan isnt... I think Koutas timing is impeccable as well, its very early in the off season, these comments will be forgotten by the time 2008 season begins.

Nothing wrong with what Kouta has written. There's a concept known as "freedom of speech" in this country.

People have been laughing at us for years. We have been a basket case for too long. This article is a step in the right direction IMO, and will aide in us getting over the horrible horrible past.

Will Kouta be as brutally honest on whether he/ himself.. Campo..Fev... Lance etc did all they could for the members and the club???

Yes, probably very simplistic, but in my view the K.I.S.S. system usually works for the best.

I have no problem with the "true story" coming out, but I think timing has a lot to do with how things are perceived.

A couple of years down the track, when players and officials involved have moved on, both in reality and figuratively, would have been better.

What happens if the club has a shiteful year again in '08? Who are they going to blame then?

I would rather this story came out now in the off season, rather than during the season, when it might cause some ripples.

But the reality is, that this will not be distracting to the playing group in any way shape or form had it come out in April or May of 2008.
