Just realised that he has been on about 375 to 400 average so I figure 250 - 300 000 PA for 2 years

There is no way that Campo is worth 300K.........I highly doubt that the club would agree to that

Of course he is. He's a 10 year player who despite not having the best year is still in our top 10 players. 500K - No, 300K - Yep.

I like the bit about depending on how his performance goes. I hope it's measured by stats but by leadership and biting his tongue and getting on with the game.

To be fair, none of us are really in a position to say what he is and isn't worth. He's worth what the market will bear, and his worth to us is what the Club think they can get away with. The Vets List helps us but geesh - how woul dyou be able to justify the difference betweeen $250,000 and $300,000 for an AFL player?

his good earnin' days are over

$200k

without getting into a "big thing", Im in the "he's counterproductive" camp and hope that either:
a) he's not here next year
or
b) we attract a couple of good leaders around 24-26 to off-set his responsibility and force him into more of a Riccardi role (ie, punishing, effective, but not overly required for success). Then Camporeale becomes the cream and not the cake.

YEs Campo will definitely get 300k to 350kpa... mark that one down....

maybe over 2 years..... but anyway... he has no offers from other clubs.. and the CFC is currently using a system of what he is worth on the open market to asertain valuations.... (uherm)..........

is it possible that we sign him now so that if we get rid of him at the end of the year, he won't nominate himself in the PSD as a uncontracted player? that way we won't lose him and have nothing in return like port adelaide lost stevens?

If we sign him now, we can't get rid of him at seasons end.

And if he signs and we delist him we have to pay his contract out.

Hardly think we'd de-list him.

No, because it would merely whet the appetite for a menage-a-trois with Go Baggers

And then back load it so he plays until he is 45.
