Can't get over how many times Pagan says "we know exactly where we're at". Should we be feeling at ease that given Denis knows where we are at he also knows where we should be at and how to take us there.

At the moment we are last and our list is clearly not good enough, we need:

- more quality players/more depth

- our current crop of players need to be:

- fitter
- stronger/bigger
- more experienced

Players such as Thornton, Russell, Walker, Simpson, Davies, Blackwell, Fisher, O'hAilpin, need to be (fitter, stronger/bigger, more experienced) and I am positive Denis Pagan is the man to help them achieve this.

The issue of list depth & quality has started to be addressed by the addition of Walker, Russell, Hartlett in the past 2 years - this will further be addressed this year now we have the correct recruiting philosophy in place.

Yep, it is going to be further development of the big "P" potentially good players we have now and 2 or 3 years of getting kids in the 1st and 2nd round of the draft until we get back on an even keel - list structure wise.

If Pagan seriously beleives we are the worst team then why the hell is he playing the older guys who wont be apart of our future? Guys like David Clarke, Ian Prendergast, Jordan Bannister etc will not or should nopt be apart of our future. Denis should be trying to fast track our youngsters and guys like S.OhAilpin (hope he is promoted this week), Russell, Smith, Bentick, Blackwell, Simpson should be given games or more ground time.

About 3 o'clock on the premiership clock. Premierships come to clubs who sit between 10 and 2 o'clock.

like the players, i have little confidence in Pagan at the moment.
seems to have lost the players, and a gameplan that is not working and does not work with this group.

Looking at all I have seen and read and also feel on this issue, we are a team with limited depth skill and experience and also lacking in necessary on field leadership.

We have fragile confidence that has been made worse because of a number of injuries to key players that has unsettled team balance. It may not be all that unusual, but I think we are also playing a number of players with injuries.

While we have improved over summer and show this in the wizzer cup, other teams who have improved more than us and who have nutted out our game plan defeat us, further denting our condidence.

Basically, we got ahead of ourselves and have been shown up quite badly.

Now we are at a stage where while it is mathematically possible for us to make the finals - barring a miaculous change in fortunes, the reality is that we are in a rebuilding phase for 2006 from here on in.

On the positive side - we do have more team building blocks in place now than in 2002/03 and we are back in the draft. A number of young players are gaining experience in the seniors and others are ready to come into the side after developing sufficiently in the bullants.

A great deal depends on draft picks and recuiting of a ready made player in the psd

providing we recruit well, we should see an improvement in our performance for 2006, but the degree to which we improve depends on factors such as :

- how well we recruit midfielders
- how much game time time our young players get from here on in.
- whether we recruit a number of ready made young players in the draft
- Whether we can recruit an experienced player that is able to provide better leadership to the young players at the club.

Do this well and we might have a rejuvenated team that faces 2006 full of hope and promise once again, but is better equipped to win quite a few more games. I feel that our improvement next year will be a modest one but with a few high points during the year to give hope for 2007.

- I agree also with the previous poster - I think that something is wrong with the players relationship with Pagan, probably gameplan, maybe other issues as well. However even if we dramatically altered our game plan, Im not sure whether it would help us too much.

It may be that these issues come to some kind of critical point in the near future.

Where we are at is this:

-16th placed side in a 16 team competition
-Most of our list is young, yet contains plenty of players that are down and not up to it
-Other teams have worked us out
-Pagan & the MC will look at the second year second chance players to see if they're up to standard as part of the future plan, hence they're inclusions this week.

This is where we are reeeealllly at!!!!
