Morrell is a surprise to me- I thought he was good against the Crows and really thrown around last week...

Thanks KH. Just beat Mr 87 tonight...

Interesting naming Lappin on the bench... hasn't been up to his own high standards this year.

Not exactly mind-explodingly exciting inclusions...

Spent a lot of time on the bench last week.

By the looks of it Davies will get his shot in the midfield....Also good to see Houla lining up in the midfield...Bit suprised about the Morrell omission but glad to see Bowyer back, he was great aroung the clearances in the Port game, gave us that intimidation and hard edge, i'm guessing he could do a tagging job on Power or Black...

Cheers kenny.

Hmm, I know Denis knows what he's doing, but I can't really see the point of the yoyo selection policy that seems to exist.

Exactly CB, well said. There's a lot of Ted Richards in our side at the moment (or out of it...)

Yeah, I'm with you two. If it makes sense, then it's above my minimal intellect.

Ditto. Maybe it's the got-an-eye-on-the-picks philosophy :)

Out of all our players who are fit at the moment (which doesn't include the likes of French and Fisher who are abit iffy) this is what i want to see -

B: Carrazzo Livingston Teague
HB: Walker Thornton Lappin
C: Houlihan Stevens Simpson
HF: Davies Waite Camporeale
F: Betts Fevola Whitnall
Foll: Bryan Koutoufides Scotland
Int: Sporn Johnson McGrath Chambers
Emerg: Bentick Prenda (touch and go with Chambers and Prenda in the starting line up) Longmuir

The team selected this week isn't far off the best availabe IMO, looks pretty good.

Completely uninspiring ... Bowyer, I know he´s done well in the 2s, Bowyer will always do well in the 2s but does he deserve another chance ahead of someone like Bentick??! No. Bowyer has been a serviceable pick up that never reached any great heights ... Bentick is our future, he should get a run and show us what he can do, we already know what Bowyer can do.

And agree with what was said about Morrell, he´d been performing OK for someone who gets thrown all over the park. Perhaps Brisbane´s lack of talls but feel for Diggers.

Uhhh...If im not mistaken, Bentick has played the last 3 weeks and IMO hasn't shown anything at all, i know he's had hardly any ground time but you cant keep a player in the team that only gets 4 touches per game....

He´s averaging 8 possessions a game from half games at best ... doesn´t sound to bad to me AND averaging 3 tackles per game which most players on for a full game wont manage.

That was not my point, Clarke and Bowyer are not the way forward for the Carlton football club so dont play them in front of kids who are a) AFL ready (ie. not Blackwell) and b) upon whom the jury is still out due to them not having been given a chance. The sooner we work out whether Bentick is an AFL player the better. To do that he needs to get a regular game and significant game time.

As Blue to the Bone listed Bentick is averaging 8.3 posessions a game in around 45mins game time.

Look at our inclusions and Sporn is averaging 7.4 posessions in 7 games with more than 3/4 quarters game time each match he has played.

Bowyer has average 9.5 in 2 games.

Now tell me who has shown nothing? To put that into context if Bentick was to play a full game you could say that he would average around 20 possies, but we will never know that because he has been dropped without being given a chance just like Simmo and Davies.
