Scary thing is he is only going to get better.

Still reckon he could become even bigger as a unit.

Jar, you got stats on the number of contested marks he takes?

Not at the moment. :(

He would have to be our number one at the moment.

It is another aspect of his game that has gone up a notch this year.

Something we desperately need. We just do not have enough players that are good in a contested situation, be it in the air or on the ground.

Edit:

GOT THEM

69 marks, 12 of which have been contested.

Just on contested marks, Brown, Hall, Tredrea and Pavlich are all on 19+ contested marks so far this year (Waite is on 12).

This is the level that he should be aiming for over the next couple of years.

I agree we have an issue with our players not being able to take enough hard grabs, but my other concern is our lack of uncontested marks!

Week after weeks, oppositions smash us in comparison and its only just been the last couple of weeks that i've seen any semblence of us actually kicking the ball around a bit to find decent avenues of attack into our forward line, or out of defence!

Whilst not wanting to promote the so called "ugly" style of football that the Swans are currently being houded about, I truly believe we need to stabalise our possession once we've got our bloody hands on the thing and set up our attacks a bit more.

It would be better to have a stable structure up around the centres and half forwards, but it's just not there at the moment and the fact is, our forward line aint half bad when you think about it! Once we've got those structures set up, we'll be able to move the ball more freely in which in turn, will probably make it easier for the forwards to set up for a quick ball in.

Just a few muddied and probably very obvious thoughts - i think there's some sense to it!
