He's got to be given a fair go (at least 3/4 each week for the next five weeks. Then and only then we will really know if he is up to it. At the moment he is not getting a fair go.

After all I rather Davies be given more time than Houlihan.

I'm a fan of Pagan's however he is not giving the young kids a real go.

We need to play the middle tear players now so at the end of the year we can feel confident in who should stay and who should go. Norman is another player that should be playing before Morell. PLay Norman on the half back flank and see if he is up to it after all he played some good games for us last year. He struggled playing a key defensive role so put him back on the flank or come the end of the year and we will not really know if he should stay or go.

Denis doesnt leave him out because he is unfair or because of some unknown agenda.

Justin doesnt do enough.
He gets plenty of opportunities but has'nt grasped them.
Denis plays him up forward and he kicks 2 goals from 11 shots!
Its hard enough getting the ball inside 50 without pissing it up against the wall.
He gets a run with role and doesnt have the pace.
He doesnt win enough ball to play midfield and his disposal would be in the worst 5 at the club.
Thems the facts.
Yes he's hard, yes he turns it on one quarter every 6 games.
Its not enough.
He needs to stand up and quickly.

Good post.

Going to be a hard decision on Davies at the end of the year unless he transforms himself soon.

I refuse to believe in something that won't happen.
While it's good to be positive about it all, there has to be some level of reality taken into account when considering such things.

That reality being that Davies doesn't/hasn't done enough to warrant a position on the list next year.

However, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong if he is retained.
Obviously Denis may have seen something in him.
Hence why I'm not the coach.

After 3 or 4 below par performances in the seniors, I thought Davies was pretty good last week for what he did.....not a massive amount of the ball, but did some good hard stuff which is his forte, made some space for himself on the wings and used the ball well - something he was NOT guilty of in many of his other performances this year. Glad to see he was 'rewarded' with hopefully a starting role this Saturday night.

So Davies is going to be 18th player we trade next year. Fair dinkum, the way we talk up guys not being at the club next year, somebody is going to be busy rebuilding the list. Are we in an 8 year re-building process?

Davies deserves an opportunity, & I don't mean 5 minutes here & 10 minutes there. One thing you can be assured of is that he will have a real crack. Give him some confidence & regular game time.

Too short, too slow, not enough bulk. What a lot of crap. If evey player was built the same, the game would be very boring. Plenty of guys who are not 6ft 4in 100kg & run 100mts in 10 secs have made it. Never under estimate a guys heart & his willingness to continually give those 1%'s

I would be curious to compare disposals against time actually spent on the ground. Is anyone aware of a site which provides this stat?
