Brisbane travelled to WA last week and dont play the dome that well - have been up and down with their form
Must get a good start but I reckon if there is a couple of goals in it at three quarter time we will run over the top of then
Just need a bit of composure unlike the last two weeks when we hit the front - we are due
Having said that havent fared too badly the last 2 weeks against top 8 sides and Adelaide potentially top 4-6 side

Brizzy definately have dropped off a bit this year but last week they did well. We'll have to be playing at our best with Fev booting at least 4 for us too too have a chance of pulling off an upset. The blues must keep their feet and their composure.

Just for once this year can we not go 5-6 goals down in the first 15 minutes. Can we please just bottle up the game and not have to play catch up for the rest of the game.

Please Please I beg of you - I've been reaching for the bottle at 1/4 time and its no good for my health

But Frank according to the plan we are not allowed to win......remember 'longterm benefit' to the club.

And that would be the only reason I would any pleasure in finishing bottom.

Give it a rest guys. It's as mind-numbing as a 3 year old saying " Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"

How about sticking to Frank's topic and giving reasons why you think we can win the game?

Lions aint the Lions of old.No way the invincable juggernaut of old.If Brown and Voss went down they would be in deep shit.Got quite a few newbies in there side, who are doing quite well granted, but like all kids, drop off.Tacticlly it would be a waste of time targetting there big guns.Go for the weakest link i say and the likes of Adcock,Selwood,Corrie etc would get it both barrells for mine.Put these guys off there game and there big guns can only carry so many.So few can carry so many for only so long. When you think about it,the Lions arent so dissimilar to the Swans, and we gave those guys a run for there money.................And for all those advocating tanking it,it aint a strong draft this year. And who is to say we will get our picks right anyway.Look back over past drafts and you will see that we aint the only ones who stuffup.Far more failures than success s............Even the spoonfead saints have not delivered yet and they have had everything going there way.

For mine its take your chances when you can and what happens further down the track, well,we l worry about that then.Dont believe in manafacturing results. You can be too clever by half and finish up outwitting only yourself in the end..........Do it the Carlton way,and thats take on everyone.

I reckon we are in with a chance.

Just need to get the match ups right and go at it with the same intensity we showed against the Crows.

Could easily go either way, but logic says the Lions will win.

P.S........Eddie Betts.Stay at home Eddie, coz thats where the goals are.No goals up on the wing little fella. In fact i wouldnt give a shit if you leaned up against the fence and signed autographs so long as you stayed near the goals......I know,Eddie spent time on the ball last week, which was great i might add,but when ya in the pocket, stay in the pocket.Reckon the were a zillion loose ball get oppurtunities last week but Fast Eddie got sucked up the ground too often.Go Eddie and give Scott plenty of lip,coz he seems to get easily distracted lately.

I do hope we'll win. All this talk about throwing games is a lot of absolute rubbish. You are telling me that players who would be culled or are a chance to be, are not interested in winning? What chance would they have to be picked up by another side coming from the wooden spooners? The fact is we are just not good enough under pressure and if the "Pagan Gameplan" collapses there are no alternatives to fall back on. We are a one way team.

Yes, we all know the benefits of finishing stone, cold last - but I tell ya, if we hit the front with 5 minutes to go tomorrow night, I won't be hoping for a Brisbane goal......

But for the sake of the topic at hand - seriously, does anyone seriously think we're a serious chance tomorrow night :D Surely not......
