Brown shmoun.

Do you think they’re sitting somewhere asking themselves who’s going to pick up Fev, who’s going to pick up Waite, Stevens, Kouta etc

If Brown is needed in the midfield, then they’re in trouble, & I’m tippin he will be in the midfield at some stage.

Blues to rein supreme at the Dome

I say we leave Bret Thornton on him. From memory Bret played in the midfield during a inter-club match at the start of the season and did a pretty good job.

Was going to post the same thing

Brett Johnsoin MUST play on Brown if he plays in the midfield.
Take up theother side of the bounce and then run straight at him as hard and fast as he can.

Johnno's forehead will collect Brown straight in the cruits and take him out for the game....

...and then Brown will get 4 weeks for head high contact

Bret Thornton?, Brett Johnson?...shit should bring the real Brett out...Ratten would show him what the engine room is all about. Pity we couldn't get him to kiss and make up with Pago Pago.

Playing in the midfield every week is a good way for Brown to test his discipline. Very easy to get yourself reported for an indiscretion in close traffic when you play like he does.

Good point Wojee as he sure got 'up close & personal' with Josh Carr in the middle last week. Imagine if he was playing on Kouta, had a brain explosion and took a swipe at him - there'd be a ground invasion I reckon :D

As others have said, I daresay Prenda is still in the team as the potential best match-up for Brown in the middle, but it'd sure be an interesting role for T-Bird so far up the ground if the coach sees fit.

No. Our guys wouldn't move an inch.

Besides, it would be like a group of pre-schoolers up against a team of heavyweights!

Why would Matthews bother to put Brown in the middle?

Brisbane will more than hold their own in the centre square against us without Brown.

J.Brown in the forward 50 against a team that's suspect against tall, strong forwards.

It's a no-brainer, despite what Matthews says about Kouta v Brown. I think it's all B.S.

I expect to see Brown in the forward 50, dwarfing the unlucky blues backman who gets him.

Why the f**k would Matthews ever consider putting Brown in the middle to start with. Not only does it detract from their forward line, it keeps one of Power, Black, Voss or Aker out of the action. So he picked up 29 possessions last week... any one of the four mentioned above would have done the same (five if you include Lappin). And instead of kicking it to Brown, they're kicking it to Bradshaw and Sherman.

I reckon that Denis would welcome Brown into the centre square to go head to head with Kouta. There is no way that he'll push him off the ball in nearly the same way he did Bell, Hasleby and co. Even if he does get 20 possies through the middle, it's nothing compared to what he could do to us playing at CHF.
