That membership wouldn't be counted in the total

Who cares, it's still 60 bucks to the club.

I think it will.

You need a 5 game membership to be counted as a member.

Not sure how many games this one covers but the email from the club was asking to buy these memberships specifically to beat the record membership. Therefore, they must be 5+ games.

So if you spend your $60 YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO THE TOTAL.

I upgraded from a Blue member to a Silver member purely for the fact that extra money goes to the club, I can still only get down to one or two games a year.

Yep, 5 games needed...this Blue Membership doesn't have any entry. But as wojee said the money still goes to the club so there's no reason not to buy one just it's not right of the club to mislead like that

If they have no games attached then the club is being naughty in the email saying these memberships will 'make the difference'.
