Well they say the more things change the more they stay the same and there is no greater example than that of the sheep on this website. The great one thinks, maybe just maybe people have seen the light and have developed as much as an inkling about the game called football. But no, the same old people with the same old agendas pretending they are ‘true football supporters’ just because they buy a membership and sit through 100 point beatings.

Due to popular demand here is a list of the top 8 idiotic comments/statements/thoughts from you people….

8. Treating Whitnall like he is a young 20 year old just starting to find his way in the game than what he is, a mature aged player that just isn’t up to it.

7. Bagging supporters for leaving at ¾ time. Why should anyone have to sit there and watch such weak, pitiful efforts? At least these people made an effort to go to the game. When the final siren went last night there were probably only about 18k left in the stadium, so the 20k that left are told they are fair-weather supporters and to keep walking and never come back eventhough they made the effort to get to a game when we are sitting 16th on the ladder?

6. Having no idea about the worth of our players – eg. Trading Houlihan for a low draft pick

5. Refusing to even entertain the idea that Pagan perhaps isn’t up to scratch anymore.

4. Only realising now that the likes of Camporeale and Whitnall should have been traded three years ago when they were worth something. So…we have kept these two for the last three years and what have they done for us as a club? Absolutely nothing, yes the great one said to trade them years ago but was shot down for not having a clue and how these two had so much talent, were the heart and soul of our club blah blah blah, we have heard it all before and you have probably all said it at one time or another.

3. Acting as if signing Fevola is a matter of life or death – The best thing for the club would be to grow some balls and get rid of this punk. He’s playing now as he should have been playing as a 20 year old. He shows potential but by the age of 24 should be delivering which he is not. It would be far more beneficial for the club to offload him for someone as Leigh Brown was a couple of years ago when North got him plus another draft pick in the top 15. You can bet your bottom dollar in 4 years time the lemons around here will be saying we should have traded Fevola, and yes, once again you will remember CG had the vision that the rest of you didn’t.

2. We only have maybe eight players that would make it onto the list of the top side in competition – betts, fevola, kouta, lappin, stevens, walker, waite, thornton – and probably only five of these would get a game week in week out yet dimwit supporters are still interested in winning 6 or 7 games a year and avoiding a priority pick for the sake of pride and selfishness? Yes selfishness, you want to get your little buzz each week rather than looking at what is best for the club, you act as if you are more of a diehard supporter because you would prefer wins rather than tanking but you are not a diehard supporter, you are a disgrace.

1..Just when CG thought he had heard it all I see people comparing Ryan Houlihan to Craig Bradley. What next, Fevola to Lockett? Whitnall to Carey?

I'll pick up the tab on this one. At 3/4 time last night I had a chat to the guy next to me, Brisbane fan, and he said you guys aren't that bad, Davies is a little goer, you just turn it over a little too much at the moment, but that happens with young players...they'll get better. We went on to have a pretty good discussion about the game during the last quarter, both agreed the holding the ball decision crucifies the guy making the play.

The point is that even he could see some positives from our game, so why do some of us try so hard to look for anything but.

Secondly, there's a difference between there still being 35,000 at the ground at the start of the last quarter and there being 18,000 at the end. leaving 5mins early to beat the crowds or traffic or because there's no chance of us coming back isn't ideal but hey im not having a go at those who leave with 5mins left

CG,
Can't quite work out where you are coming from. Internet forums are exactly that, forums. A place where people can express their opinion. The opinions may not be in line with your thinking, many are not in line with mine either, but we gotta learn to accept that everybody is entitled to their opinion. It was french philosopher Francois Marie Arouet (pen name Voltaire) who said: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".

He also said: "God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere".

He was credited with these pearls of wisdom in the 1700's. Maybe he was thinking of you. I think if he was living now, he would probably change his expressions to: "Carlton God, I disapprove of what you say, but because you are the center of the known universe, we will all bow down to your infinite wisdom and follow you like lemmings".

If I was Voltaire reincarnated I would say: " Sanctimonious prick..PISS off".

Nice try CG.

Looks like the berley isn't catching the fish that it used to. Time to change the recipe.
