Only four decent players for the night.

How did Waite get in front of Kouta and Kouta NOT be a 'Decent' player for tonight?????????

What is Brett Johnston??? What is Ian Prendergast? The answer is not senior footballers.

Neither is Trent Sporn, who is only good enough for the VFL and not bigger enough and fast enough for senior level.

Whitnall was clearly our best, Lappin at least got some of the footy although did one or two costly things, Waite did some good things, I thought Walker more than held his own on Akermanis.

Kouta might have had 28 touches but for me he was ordinary. He kills you sometimes with his kicking, very frustrating.

I agree without Kouta in the middle we would've got beaten by 100 plus points, but Kouta doesn't do much with his disposal for mine.

Waite shows class when he goes near it & makes the most of his disposals.

I thought Stevo had a dog of a day today. Congratualations to young Selwood who had a great game.

Fev damaging his groin again obviously hampered his game. He would be better off resting and coming back after the break.

Glad Lance did ok.. tho i wouldnt think he was clearly our best...he had a terrific first half... then went back to normal after half time.

Stevo should have said to the kid "Are you fit?" then run him all over the ground, but sadly he dropped his head.
Fev was playing well until he did the splits again. Hopefully he'll be right after the break.

Well who was better?

It wasn't Lance's fault that his second half wasn't as good as his first...the last few weeks almost every time the ball's gone into our forward line in a half-decent fashion he's looked extremely dangerous.

Lance did well, Brown was held well until junk time rubbish, Brisbane didn't really do that much unassisted by soft umpiring, and we're one game closer to a PP

Maybe Lance was more quiet after half time because most of the players upfield couldn't hit a target!

Last week Hall was fed beautifully and this week it was Brown, how Lance would love to have a strong midfield streaming downing the ground with no pressure to deliver the ball to him.

Lost count on how many times we bombed the ball up high or dropped the ball short in front of our forwards.

Walker put in a sterling effort tonight, well done, great to see him continuing to learn his craft.

Waite was good in patches. Bryan's field kicking is superb, his pass inside 50 to Waite will go along way to winning us games in the future. Our start to the game was good, Fev was clearly at about 60% for the majority of the game. And who knows what could have happened had he been 100% all night, that chase and tackle in the first quarter was great play. He might not be firing our Fev, but he's becoming a better team player. Kouta continues to win the footy. Tbird was pretty good on Brown, even though Brown porbably had the better of him he certainly wasn't towelled up.

And, yes, Eddie Betts. He had little effect on the game in some ways, but he continues to hound like a terrier and never gives up. He fights to make every chase a contest and every tackle a winner. Great endeavour.

As a massive critic of lances this yr, I will admit he did show a bit of that old 1999 form in the 1st half. He is very, very good vs defenders of his mobility as he displayed in the 1st half. He just isn't the same player against more mobile defenders and on bigger grounds. I'm sure I could debate as to why this is the case ad nauseum, e.g. weight, laziness etc but I think this time I'll lay off the big fella

Walker and Kouta did well and while Thornton lost out to Brown overall I thought he did as well as anyone could on the best player in the competition.
Whitnall played a good first half and Fev a good 1st quarter....
Prenda tried hard and I admire him for that....after half time most of our so called good players gave it away..Walker and Kouta excepted.
Stevens and Campo were pathetic...weak as piss effort wise and no way are they Agrade material..Stevens was very dissapointing.....Aker kept on keeping on against Walker but Stevens gave it away against Selwood and should not be accepring mone for this game ...most of the team cheated on the supporters/fans and should be ashamed of themselves...I know this is a postives thread so I shall refrain from any more negatives..

Walker did a decent bloody job on McLeod and then Sat. night did a really good job on Aka - well done to him and how good will he go when we can release him from running a significant tag to play a more flowing kind of game - great experience for him!
