Does anyone know if there are any players who frequent here or some of the other forums, out of idle curiosity to see what we're saying about them?

I know some of you are closer to them than others and know some of them by name, so was just wondering.

I'm on here, and I've been known to be a bit of a player.

I know that Swan McKay was a registered posting member on TBV when he had first joined the board.
Went under the name Pinot or something like that.
It's another countries word for Swan.

Other than that, I'm sure players lurk without registering.
I wonder what Lance would say to Synbad if Lance found out who he really was?!?!

Makes you wonder if any of the players had a look in when all the in house fighting was going on.
Reckon they would have had a bit of a giggle over it.

I think I read somewhere that Walker's parents kept up to date on TBV.

I believe the word is Lebet, which is Russian. The article in The Age which mentioned this is where I found out about TBV in the first place.

And GH, The fact that you're a player of some legend goes without saying, which is why I didn't mention it.

Swan was registered as "Lebet" ... swan in Russian.

Yep that was it.
Knew it was something strange like that.
That's how I also found TBV.

I was reading TBV when Lebet put up a mesage asking for Carlton members in the CBD to come and sign a petition. It was one of the steps in forcing the old Board out. When I rang the phone number that was given, the person who answered said "David McKay". I was stunned. I got his address and sprinted around to see him. We talked footy for about half an hour. He was a great player (4 flags) and a great man for taking on the old Board and helping to set the club on the road to recovery.

On this PJ,
it would interesting to hear others stories how they found TBV.

i'll give you mine.

I was at round 3 game last year versus Essendon*, at the G

got there late and there wasn't much in the way of seating, So i decided to go standing room. Got talking to some guy about the blues that was standing near me, I think he could tell I was a passionate supporter. During our conversation he mentioned TBV, the next day I registered.

I'm glad I did.

I was on the official site (slower than Mark McGough) until Anne the Fan and Dr Rick lured me over with their siren songs.

I think families rather than players use the sites. Carrazzo's Dad, Davies' Dad are 2 that I think use sites.

Would players want to read some of the stuff we write about them (especially a certain few)!

Oh boy I can only wonder what Justin's dad makes of this place

Well played I thought in the last couple of weeks for young Davies. I get a sense that he's starting to come of age.

I write posts regarding players keeping in mind that they or their family may read them and therefore try to keep any criticism fair and constructive.

Of course this courtesy only extends to Carlton players, the rest can GFT

I played in the 68 premiership and the 70 premiership, then as a veteran kicked 12 to singlehandedly win the 1999 premiership..... then i woke up!
