whatever the case - regardless of excuses................we have sunk to our lowest depths.....

this is worse than '64 when i started supporting the blues.....at least we had Barrass join us in '65

EVERYONE at the club needs to address this. This is not about a lack of draft picks or financial penalties.....

this is about a lack of spirit, pride, respect, committment, desire, confidence......and ???.........

bugger playing for draft picks.......there are no excuses for what has been going on the last couple of months.

a very sad, sad day........

in 1964 someone at least made some big decisions......in 2005 we need to do the same.......NOBODY should be safe

bring back George Harris

blue territory, that isn't tanking......

too many of these guys should be prepared to give everything to save their careers  .

however in their defence and not too under rate our lack of depth and talent......the administration and coaching staff need to take some repsonsibility

so rather than tanking, it looks like a team that believes their own press....sadly that press has been orhestrated by our own club

1. "everyone outside the club don't appreaciate what the penalties did to us"
2. "we have too many C and D grade players"

time for the club to close shop, shut up and get on with it.

make the TOUGH decisions....bring on 1965!

errr ... i think at the time i was so angry and frustrated at watching another soft defensive clearance and setup for goal from the opposition!! it's been the story all year!!

in my rage i posted my comment in the wrong thread (even supporters are missing targets now!!).

so lb .... apologies for dumbing down your thread.

Point 2 IMO is the Carlton hierarchy trigger (code) for tanking .

Very good London. Was around then, and it was exciting. The place was completely reinvigorated by George.George was a pioneer and didnt look to other peoples recipes. He did it his way.Funny thing,we have what i regard as a perfect oppurtunity to repeat history..........At that timeMelbourne was THE Club.Norm Smith was THE Coach. And the onfield MAN was RonBarassi.........Fas forward fourty years and you can substitute Brisbane,Leigh Mathews, and Michael Voss.

And there you have it.Michael Voss is your man to totally reinvigorate this club.

don't be too disappointed EB

1964 (your birth year) was the beginning of a beautiful thing....the birth of our 8 flags in 40 years since :D

1964 we had our worse ever finish - 10th in a competition of 12 (5 wins), but of course we used that as a catalyst for a complete and ruthless committment to change. 1965 in came Barrass - followed by young kids in Jezza, Wallsy, Gags, Perc etc

So i say out with the old and in with the new. What have we got to lose by trading anyone we have of significant trade value? Lets get radical.

We cannot finish any lower than we are.

Mickstar is leading the way with creative thinking offering to be President with M Voss as coach.
