should add though - that trades can only occur during trade week, but inregards as getting Kosi in the PSD or as a trade, we could talk to him inregards getting him as a PSD anytime we wanted, but as a trade with the saints we wouldnt be able to discuss terms until trade week. we could however discuss terms with the player though before hand.

well, that is how i understand the system to be. I should add that i dont actually know how it works, but that is how it appears to work to me.

Just wait until Demefroot gets a sniff of this.
That law will be implemented before anyone could blink down @ OO and our picks will be striped away for attempting to break it before it was even implemented.

Ask me again why I get nervous anytime we are in the box seat for any handouts? :?

Considering we won't be trading any of our top 10 picks to get Kosi, how do we get the man across to Carlton?

Would telling him to walk into the PSD, with St.Kilda recieving no compensation, be as easy as it sounds?

Is he the type of person to do that?

Should the PSD option be out of bounds, which player and which pick do we have to hand over to get Kosi?

PSD is open slather - our only concern if he goes to PSD and we dont finish last is that Hawthorn (who i think will finish last) could get him jsut as easily. We could set a price on him that wouldnt be able to be meet by Hawthorn but unlikely.

If we want him it would be within our best interest and St.Kilda's to come to some sort of trade. Certainly not a first rounder, keep them to get the talent we need. Maybe even something along the lines of Whitnall for Kosi straight swap or something along those lines.

And St.Kilda would laugh at us.

How about Lance + Pick 18 for Kosi + their second rounder?

that is the power we have though PJ

We will give you a fair trade in Whitnall for Kosi or we will get him for nothing at the PSD.

We hold the cards in this deal and should do the best ot extract maximum value for it. Would St Kilda be prepared to be the next Port Adelaide and get nothing in return for Kosi leaving the club?

But Kosi would have to flat out tell St.Kilda that he doesn't want to play for them anymore and would have to be determined to get to Carlton.

Also, St.Kilda could just as easily turn around and tell Denis and Collo that they don't want to deal with them.

It all comes down to what Kosi wants and feels is the best way to handle things.

Not interested in fair trades..we have to be bastards and get someone for nothing in the PSD ....however Lance for Kosi might be a good way for us to go rather than seeing Lance walk via the PSD and we get nothing....

Turns out Dal Santo's manager said on SEN this morning that Kosi has said in house that he will re-sign with St.Kilda soon.

:?

Kosi - PSD - Carlton = St Kilda Loss :D

Lance - PSD - No Guarantee where = St Kilda Loss :D

In fairness to Lance though if a swap can be arranged for Kosi then we might just do it for "Names Sake" only.

No 1 in the PSD no trades with the losers for Koschitzke and anyway they'd probably draft another Goddard or Beetham whilst overlooking the next Judd.
Kosi may have been there to play a game where he won't get injured for the first time. 8)

No one gave us any chance of getting Stevens, everyone thought Collingwood would roll over but they didn't.

That's why if you're going to have a bad season, you might as well finish bottom.

Sad but unfortunately that's reality. Dal Santo's manager might have been told by St Kilda management to say that, who knows, there's no interest on Dal Santo's manager's behalf to say that, it wouldn't mean his client got more money.

Yes, we couldn't get a far lesser player in Knobel to come to us, with the TIgers nabbing him instead. I guess there is a huge plus to coming last though if this is the way that Kosi is considering.

Is he definitely out of contract at the end of the year?

....and thus ....along with Stevens,....the lessons have been learnt

If we could get a soft trade for Kosi then we'd still be in the market for another quality uncontracted player and regardless of Whitnalls past deeds, he hasn't played consistantly great footy since 2001. Sure he could give us decent value over the next couple of years but by the time we're ready to challenge he'll be about finished.

Greetings, enemy aliens. :)

I just thought I'd point out to you, before you waste any more of your time, that Kosi has already told the rest of the Sainter Boyz that he ain't goin nowhere. :D

Furthermore, he and Roo made a pact on first arriving at the club, that they would put it on their backs and carry it back up the ladder if they had to. A pact that now all the younger players have joined in with.

So none of them will be leaving at least till we have some silverware in the cabinet.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but at St Kilda, there IS such a thing as loyalty, and "team first".

Also we don't have a tradition of buying premierships. We don't have a tradition of premiereships period.

This is all new and exciting for us, so don't be bitter. You had your time in the sun.
