Is he getting $1.2m or $1.3m over 3 years? Does it include any marketing allowance?

In any case he may one day be worth this amount but is he worth it currently especially when you take into consideration some of the more recent contract deals - Dal Santo ($250k per annum), Enright ($250k).

In addition - 3 years? I thought the club's new philosophy was to avoid long term contracts at all costs. $400k per annum is not to be sneazed at.

Obviously the board believe there is enormous upside in Fev and will justify the contract offered.

IMHO the contract is at least $50k per year over the odds.

i got no problem with a three year deal when the players are 23-25, its when they are closing in on 30 that i have an issue with 3 years.

Rod I don't think Dal Santo would get that measly amount if he was at any other club - they got salary cap pressures

Dal Santo and Enright are both in teams that are premiership chances hence the preparedness to take less than they could get elsewhere.
