Polak has talent that will never be fulfilled until he realise he takes hard work and commitment to the cause. Actually that pretty much sums up Fremantle

Unsure if they are currently injured but neither are getting a look in and might even come at a decent price.

What do you like most about these two Surrey?
What aspects of their game?

Cmon Synbad, since when has sensibility been a pre-requisite of posting on his site?

7Dominator, are you obsession with me? because I don't go there.

As for sensibility and this site!!, are you trying to shut down another Carlton message board? :?

To answer your question Synbad, I feel a inside/hard midfielder like Salopek might be useful, if you don't, then that's fine, I understand you only like the athletic/fast types with no football sense, so no probs mate.
As for White, lets see a big hard forward who can take an overhead mark, gee why would I bother even looking.

geez surrey, Synbad was just asking a straitforward question.

I realise you two have a long history (and an entertaining one for the rest of us :D ), but how about just answering a straitforward question with a straitforward response.

Translated:

To answer your question Synbad, I feel a inside/hard midfielder like Salopek might be useful, and White is a big hard forward who can take an overhead mark.

Salopek had bigs wraps on him prior to draft, and in fact our very own Diesel raved about him.Im sure he must be good, but every time i have seen him play he looks little more than pedestrian. But if the diesel rates him then its a fair chance he can play. But i would like to know why Surrey rates him,coz we all see different things in different players. Its always interesting to me to hear other points of view.............A few around here consider me a fair judge, but remember,i was the guy that said Fraser Brown wouldnt make it........Shit,how bad is that.

Far be it for me to have an "obsession" with Surrey.

What i do have is an obsession when it comes to foolish comments!

Darryl White,a big hard forward that we need?...Yeah sure,a 33 year old is just what we need!.....give me strength!

Im with 7Dom.. cos its Surrey im pretty sure he meant Darryn White ...

Surrey.. the question was posed to you.. what have YOU seen in Salopek that tells you we must chase him hard???

I know we might.. but in your opinion what have YOU SEEN in Salopek YOURSELF???

His toughness???
When have you seen him be tough???
What else???

Just asking cos i see his name thrown up on BigFooty sometimes by people who havent really seen him play much... but his name pops up...

Just on Salopek, he injured himself again at training yesterday

Jinxed Salopek breaks down with knee injury
By RICHARD EARLE

THE playing future of Port Adelaide's Steven Salopek is again in serious doubt after the jinxed midfielder broke down in training at Alberton last night.

Salopek limped off with an injury to his right knee minutes from the completion of the Power's final session before the mid-season break.
Salopek, 19, was in obvious distress as he was assisted from the track. His swollen knee was packed in ice and will undergo scans today to determine the extent of any damage.

In the old days this would be a guarantee that we would have a crack.

Salopek was all the rage before he was drafted but then slipped down the pecking order and has been injured a lot.Ebert and Eckermann have probably jumped ahead him and I reckon Port would offload him given a decent deal. I have watched him several times and his main problem for me is lack of pace....his skill base seems ok but he does have trouble getting on the park with injuries and thats a bit of a negative for me..
I would consider him but wouldnt be selling my grandma to get him...

Damon White (not Daryl) ...so so player from what I have seen ..doesnt do enough and needs Tredrae and co to attract the bigger defenders while he monsters the 3rd or 4th defender but when he is the key forward doesnt do enough....I think we need something better...bit of a Digby Morrell type IMHO...

I am weary of players who were pumped up in prior drafts but whom have undewhelmed ever since. On the face of it he sounds like the type of player we need but I wouldn't give up too much for him. We need to play hard-ball.

Thank You Jarusa...Damon White was cetaintly the one as I didn't think Darryl White played for Port.

But I'm sure 7Dom/Synbad must try to deviate the real post at hand to somehow again ridicule Surrey. Not obsessed though, considering they nailed the "third" guy in.

How are we going to get more than one A grade player excluding the PSD?

I'm interested in your opinion.

A grade players are impossible to get, we need talented youngsters. When Lappin joined the Blues he was no "A grade"

Matty Clape and Dean Rice are premiership players, yet are no "A Grade" players.

we need midfielders that can get the hard ball, we also need midfielders that have pace and skill.

yep, yep, yep, nah

I'd only go guys who have genuine talent and someone who Pagan thought he could turn into a B+ or A-grader, (someone, say, like Salopek or Ryley Dunn for example). We should actively NOT get fringe players. We SHOULD, however, look to add hardness and experience, or at least peripheral players in great times. Someone like Tim Notting or Copeland or blokes from Brisbane who command respect and success. Good role models and teachers of young men.

And then 6 bloody good teenagers.
