Maybe just maybe we need not to consistently bag Campo but remind ourselves of the people who offered and accepted the contract and its conditions.

Is it Campos fault that he is over paid. I work with Managers here who have got NO IDEA and get paid shitloads , but its not there fault , good luck to them, its the fault of the Organisation that allows this to continue.

Lets see what happens come contract time and then i'm guessing next season Campo will go form Skier, to Walking on Water.

Oh Well thats all. :D :D

I'd say it's about time we make Campo into a permanent forward. With our current group of midfielders not being able to feed the ball to him he's not gonna have any impact. By playing up forward it should release some pressure and also give the younger kids more opportunity on the ball. Also could give him an extra year or two.

Could Campo make an impact off the bench like Riccardi at Geelong?

Encouraged by the performances of carrazzo walker waite and thorton -thought waites defensive pressure was good and could be a midfielder
Wanted if possible to give smith setanta and russell a go if possible before the end of the year - seemed to be suggesting that maybe de luca may go on long term injury list
Seemed to suggest that smith would make it provided he continues on in the manner he has this year.
Hoped that brett johnson would be consistent - said he was good at the clearances but needed work on his disposal
,
Was encouraged by performances of Bryan in last 3 matches and wants to see french/Bryan work together
Happy for hollywood fevola to go on footy show provided he is not the person there to be the butt of everyones jokes- or the clown on the show
Fev still to reach potential
Noted that in 17 weeks we will be getting other players to supplement our list
Mentioned Mitch Clarke and had the feeling that the recruiters had mentioned Mitch Clarke to him before the under 18 championships because he suggested that it wasnt good to judge simply one performance but must see these guys 5 or 6 times and had faith in recruiters -That is on clarkes performance last weekend you might not go for him but shouldnt base assessment on one viewing

Interesting that Pagan talks about a "lack of support" in the midfield?

Kouta, Stevens and Campo = Carlton's lifeline?

Interesting side note. Who is our 4th choice midfielder?

Could I argue that for poor form of Campo and Stevens (recent) is partly due to the lack of support they get???

:?

On the Under 18 championship.. Pagan said you need to view the tapes over 6 games, not 1 or 2, brought up the example of Mitch Harn (think) were he hardly got a touch.. Pagan said to leave it to the recruiters..
just hope they don't pick Vance and Massie with the early picks..

not another Livingston or Sporn either.
enough with the crappy high draft picks already

Maybe shakin but I think apart from Kouta - the other 2 have not played as well this year as last - whether that is due to injury - lack of support -or just not reaching the performances of last year or a combination of all 3 is difficult to say
Having said that apart from kouta waite walker and carrazzo who has played as well as last year - not teague johnson morrell bannister fevola lappin sporn wiggins
2 that have are whitnall and livo but it has been at the margin

Why would Denis want such a poor leader and a cancer on the Carlton Football Club to stay on for ANY price?

We have been told on this forum that he has a detrimental effect on the club and that Simpson could easily play this role.

Why keep him?

Can someone fill me in???

It's all very confussing??? :?

Simple do not believe what is written on this foruem

Fact is Dennis values Campo as he can play and wouldn't have him as VC if he didn't show leadership, I suspect Campo might just do the things out of public gaze that make a leader.

Here is a question ot two for the Campo haters. Has Campo ever done anything off the field to bring the club into disrepute, ever?

Has anyone ever heard any other player say a bad word about Campo publicy or privately? Or the MC comittee for that matter. The only time I heard any crititism by Dennis was when he got himself reported for reteliating against Brodie Hollands illegal scragging earlier this season.

I dont believe that post cos i dont believe anything ever written on the forum.....

Or are we to believe Bluey Marky Mark and noone else???

Look Campo has brought things into disrepute when he took all that dosh and gave us back sweet FA.

...and they reckon Angwin is the thief...

Angwin just stole a dvd to give to his grandmum... hes a really good kid.. just abit misunderstood..

He didnt steal hundreds of thousands per year.... :D

Gee Synbad I have been saying all year that Campo wil take a paycut, do not need to be to bright to figure that out. And you where certainly implying in more than one post that the club was dissatisfied with Campo.

BM,

I reckon campo is a pretty good midfielder entering the end of his career.
Are you happy this year with his output considering that he is costing us $650,000??

Hiya Rhys26, Have heard the 650 00 figure being bandied around a lot this season, also that he has been on a backended contract etc etc. If this is true then he has been on very little in previous years and is getting paid for previous service this year. Also if you believe some of the figures that get quoted as fact on here then 4 players are taking up nearly half our salary cap. Three, Campo Whits and Kouta a third. The figures simply do not add up. (One alledgely knowledgable insider was trying to tell me a few weeks ago that Kouta is on a Million this year and no it wasn't Synbad.) Personally I reckon and I have no proof, that you could easily take 150 000 off the qouted figure Campo is getting. I base this on two factors. One is that the 600 000 plus figure has only ever appeared in a three year old newspaper article, that actually discussed contracts. The second is the Collo publicly stated that he got his required 25% pay cut a couple of years ago by extending the Big Threes contracts for an extra year for the same amount that was originally agreed to in the shorter contracts.

Wouldnt believe a WORD you write Marky Mark.. its on this forum.. stop clouding the issue. .... with rot...
