two reasons............

#1) It is rewarding mediocity!

#2) What's the deal with DeLuca? Why can't we promote Setanta for Ruck Work. Because all in all.................he deserves a spot in this side 10X more then Prenda does!

What about Becker..........has shown real promise this year! Sure his Raw - but his worst is better than Prenda!

ahhhhh - i give up. No more comments from me.

Thats what I thought when I heard the teams on the radio ealier tonight.. I was really pissed as I agree about the bigger ground at subi you need his pace in the forward line...

Wonder if it has anything to do with him coming from Perth ? and his push early on for living away from home allowance....

As Pagan said on sports927 they are waiting for ADL camwalker comes off before they (the club) makes a decision.

WTF is going on, big ground and the other teams full of guys that can run all day and yet we drop 3 players who have a little bit of legs in Bannister, Betts and Davies to rotate thru the midfield.
To compensate for this we bring in Livingston, Longmuir, Teague and Waite.... Except for Waite, not much pace there.. Ok, helps the structure abit but without any onballers to get the ball to them we are screwed.

Pagan talks about support for the midfield, so are we to assume Pagan is saying FU to the midfield guys....You have to do it all yourself again..

Except us to get smashed around the packs and get thrashed by 100+ points.

hanks Zippy,...gee on for half the game...I've been wondering for the last two weeks......that's why I hate watching it on TV...can't see what's going on!

Did he take someone out of the game or was he "where the ball ain't".....with that sort of TV coverage...you never know.

Still can't understand taking too much pace out (read Betts!)

I thought his pace would be required...plus the fact that allows us to keep a really open forward and let hi \m run onto the ball..let alone crumb from long bombs??

He was putting too much attacking defence on their defenders therefore a liability if we are to keep the PP....
He better follow the lead of other players and not tackle, chase etc...

 8)

have to agree that the poor bloke keeps chasing to the CHB position and then is absolutely wasted....must learm to pace himself a bit (as well as getting another pre-season under his belt)

....cue....(who isn't chasing Synbad?)

can't believe we are still persisting with Prenda and Bowyer. Why Norman and Morrell can't get a place in this team is beyond me. Is there discipline that bad or are our selectors looking to next year?

Apparently ... just taking the piss.
He's really struggled this year. Maybe Sheed's was right after all.

Chambers and Longmuir in for their knowledge of Subi

IMO becker has done no where near enough to warrant senior selection.

guys like russell and to a degree Jessie Smith deserve a gig before he does

I think a run in the magoos for Eddie will do him good - get a few snaps and get the confidence up.
The team looks a bit more solid down back.

Weagles by 75 points.

Agree with Mick..better balanced team although I would have retained Eddie and included Wiggins.....Wiggo should be playing on Fletcher.

Bryan will have his work cut out for him aginst Cox...but it will be a good test for him..I actually think we might do well in this game and we dont match up too badly apart from the Eagles having the third tall down forward in Seaby which may trouble us.....Fev, Waite and Whitnall could kick a few goals I reckon....

You're not wrong. He has played possibly 2 quarters of good football in his entire career. We are a laughing stock.

Might have hit the nail on the head there Heavs. I guess our selections indicate the coaching panel is coaching for each week and not next season. I'm not sure if Davies will make it, but play him till the end of the year and lets see. I am a fan of Prenda (maybe against all sense) but would like him to get game time, maybe onball with Bryan (not either or), or running with Embley. We should be giving young fringe players lots of time ion lots of positions, but we're not. Totally agree with frank re absurdity of dropping Livo. Be proactive, try him upforward agaisnt the Bullies, would we have lost by more, does it matter.

Given the team selection and going for talls, I would have thought that Simmo would be on the ground for the entire match. Would that be the first time that has happened?

If it does (and I think it may have last match) you might have to change your signature!

Not sure why Davies is part of the revolving door policy. Showed quite a bit in the pre-season and has proven he's capable of kicking a class goal and laying a few tackles ... puts him ahead of quite a few in my book.

The pressure's on Sporn now after being dropped yet again ... he's young enough for us to do some sort of trade deal when the season finishes and I think we should get what we can for him. He's very lucky he signed his new contract after a good pre-season comp.
