Unfortunately I may have to tape the game and watch it as soon as 7pm ticks around, as I don't think I'll be home before 4pm and I hate to start watching a game half way through.

Watched the last time we played the Eagles at Subi and they gave us a hiding, Fev kicked 1.5. Let's hope he has his kicking boots on tomorrow and cracks 40 goals for the year.

Come on!! Go Blues! Let's upset the highly fancied Eagles!!

The Tattslotto draw is on about 8.30 pm Sat'd night. I'm going to watch that after the footy.
It'll increase my chances of winning something on the day.

Because we can't

Why can't we?

DeLuca has been out for almost 4 weeks now and judging by how he looked the other day.....won't be back for another 4 weeks yet and may not be back this year!
So have we wasted an opportunity to promote a rookie????????

and yes, other rookies have done more than Becker and deserve a spot over him but i'm talking in terms of a ruckman / another tall here!

seems like walker is the only tagger!
it's gonna be kouta vs cousins, stevens vs kerr again. This "hey i am a star midfielder too, u better not run away from me" plan never works!!!!

Sorry to single this one out, but are these getting any funnier as time goes on?

I actually thought it was pretty good. I laughed. But Ralph Wiggum is my favourite Simpsons character too so what would I know!!

Because when he did it he was out for 6-8 weeks, not 8+. We have to make him an LTI immediately and the AFL has to agree etc. It's not that flexible! I don't know why people fail to understand this

Because he hasn't really shown anything, in the pre-season comp he went up for a big mark and that's about it. He'll kick an odd class goal and miss the next 50 set shots, he'll lay a few tackles and then dispose of the ball terribly. He WONT be part of our next premiership side and I'm glad Denis recognises this by dropping him regularly. Up his trade value and ship him off

If Sporn resigned at the start of the season doesn't that mean that he can't be traded??? Didn't they make a new rule because the Bombers traded Heffernan??? about a month after they signed him. So now no one can be traded if they have signed a contract in the last year

Prendergast MUST be in the side to help Chris Bryan. Who else can possibly do any ruckwork? But nah let's drop him and just go in with Bryan against the in-form ruckman in the competition. Some people fair dinkum

Looking at the side on paper I actually reckon it has a good look about it. It just seems more balanced and more dangerous. I think if we can get the ball into a forward line consisting of Fev, Lance, Waite, Longmuir, Lappin etc then we're going to kick goals.

We're unlikely to win regardless of how we line up but the side as selected this week I would say would look to be one of the better ones this season.

The problem for all his faults is that he's still better than half the players on our list. At least he's shown something, many haven't when given an extended chance. If we took your line we'd cut 20 players at the end of the year. The club's going to choose which players stay and I say persevere with the ones who are still in their early 20s and have talent.

And that's where I guess we disagree. I think his lack of heart and desire and commitment outweigh any freakish skill he has. Let's not forget, his accuracy from easy shots is abysmal.

Anyway we'll agree to disagree on that. About the game itself, I actually have a weird feeling. Subi is no fortress this year in my mind, they almost lost to Essendon* there, and just who knows

Davies, Sporn and i'm pretty sure it was Jordan Russell, came over with the side. I didn't see Simpson or Morrell at training in the time i was there.

The only thing i've failed to realise is that we've FAILED to give a rookie an opportunity! and that is piss weak!

So we need Prenda to help Bryan in the ruck do we? Ok, let's play a guessing game................how many hit-outs has Prenda won this year?

anybody?.....................

P.S Yes BV, i'm think of Batson rather than Becker. Sorry - my bad!

Ok, makes sense. The way Dukes wrote it, it sounded as if he signed at the end of the pre - season, which I didn't think would be the case but thats the way a read it
