Greetings Earthlings,

Wow, what a hectic couple of weeks on Majerczak-Verbeek-5. We had the boys from Wolfister Inc down and let me just say those boys know how to par...tay.

1992, Trade, Ian Aitken, for pick 61 (which got Luke Rayner), 5 games
1993, Pre-Season, pick 16, Mark Arceri, 5 games
1998, National, pick 81, Jacob Anstey, 0 games
2000, Trade, Aaron Hamill, for Sam Cranage and pick 4 (which got Luke Livingstone), 77* games

* to the end of 2004

There have been a lot of swapsies between these clubs over the years. This should be a long thread. Carlton was well known for dumping players onto St Kilda in the eighties. Let us know what swapsies occured before the draft came into place.

I expect a full list of Carlton players who went to St Kilda. Not looking at anyone in particular.

God we have been such idiots in the past with the draft... Our current predictment goes way way back and really has nothing to do with our draft pick being stripped..

Every club makes mistakes.

If we'd won in 1999 and Kouta hadn't done his knee in 2000 we might have two premierships from our topping up policy and no one would care.

At the the time we thought we were close, had an ageing list, with one last chance to win, we went for it, it didn't pay off, we're paying for it now.

Rodney Galt - St. Kilda 71 - 74 then to Carlton 75 - 79.

Saw him absolutely destroy North Melbourne one day at Princes Park where he kicked 6 goals (in 1978) just after Jezza was appointed coach, the first time. Also was a bit of a photographer and took a few of the promotional photos of the "Carlton Bluebirds", had that poster on my wall for many years. 8)

How can we forget Jessa?

One of my favourites as a nipper....Bruce McMaster-Smith....speedy winger from the early sixties.Went to the Saints and played in the '65 GF.

Player manager Ricky Nixon.

Premiership player Neil Chandler crossed to the Saints in 1975.

Peter Fitzpatrick, premiership player in '79 crossed to them in 1981.

Mark Buckey.

Ian Aitken.

Is that where they went! They said they were working from home, and working damn hard - that's why the stats were out late the last couple of weeks... right, there will be words!

Hey Obscure...........

does it say anywhere......."whole team" swapped.......?

what i mean is.......what if we swapped our
whole team.......the lot......!

remember at school.......(i think you guys called it......
ssschool).......when you would go with a new toy.....
like a Tonka truck.......and come home with
a spinning top......?

it'd be a complete swap.......your mother wouldn't
always be happy.......but the deal was done.....!

what's that........?

you don't.......?

oh......!

kindest regards tommi
