Looks like the club is rating its future.
Walker and Waite are hot...!!!

Lance , Campo and Lappin are not... (though my sources tell me Lappin is in another boat to the other two)

This September, the Blues could be further from the eight than any other side, but they will be looking to make some serious play. "We've really got from the first of September to the end of October to really decide what we're going to do," Collins said.

"There's no good just sort of going and making the eight and dropping away again, we've got to think about building a side which is going to be consistently better than we've got at the moment and will gradually improve so that when we do make the eight, we're going to stay in the eight for a period of time."

Glad to see theyre thinking about sustainability...

Parkin thinks we sjhould trade for youth aand that it will take us four years but beliueves a 26 year old Lance is a building block so he wouldnt trade Lance... even if we have "precious little to trade"... gotta love how the mind thinks.....

Authorities in Florida have told one million residents to move because Hurricane Dennis was apparoaching...

Some of the players on this list have more to worry about from Cyclone Denis. come end of year...

Fancy the loyal one club servant in Campo not signing anything thats been put before him after what he has been earning till now....

Try the pointless thread Synbad.

Although I'm not sure how many posts you could make without trying to make a point. :D

Just to back up Synbad the Blues will be working heavy in the trade game and have already started now so look out for the trade period going to be much bigger this year than previous years. And yep Waite and Walker are non tradable but some of the others ????

I have read all the comments in the papers and very glad to hear Collo talk about a slow rise and a sustainable team. Not one that makes the finals only to fall out straight after that.
Waite, Walker are out of contract thats probably why they are being spoken about. Thornton is the other one in that level of importance but he is contracted until next year.
One thing is certan for next year though. If Campo and Whitnall are still here next year they will be on vastly smaller contracts.
I think the club is going to do all the right things at the end of the year. Lets just hope a player like Mal Michael can be snared in the PSD for next to nothing.

This is the problem... Good players never go in Trade season, apart from Collingwoods @#$%&! up for Stevo, no-one ever gets good players in trading season or the PSD... We'll end up with 8 18 year olds, lambs to the slaughter next year!

Good players dont go for nothing very often. They do go in trades that the club might not want though but are forced into trying to get something.
Nathan Brown and Simmonds are examples of clubs doing deals that did not want to.

I believe Parkin has a big part in where the club is at the moment so he should probablty watch what he says!

I agree, I have very little regard For Parkin for simply losing interest in Carlton while the coach.

Parkin tried to top up while we had a good list in order to win then.

Logic is there, we just stuffed it up. If Sexton had kicked goals in the 99 GF and Kouta hadn't done his knee in 2000 we might be judging it all differently

If we had a of won a flag in 1999 or 2000 we may be completely rooted now, not that we are far off it now.
