Lappin just worries me because of his last contract deal we all remember. Wanted to go to Richmond and changed his mind last minute because he wanted to play 100 games for Carlton to get his name on the locker. He feels no particular loyalty to the club otherwise is my gut feel

i think lapps has been playing for himself.

against brisbane he had around 30 touches and 10+ marks all across chb uncontested.

as for lance and to a degree fev, i would like to see anyone playing up forward with the crap that is being dished up by the midfield.

Couldnt agree more. Lappin has escaped criticim by racking up uncontested possessions, but he has been largely ineffectual. Skills are hit and miss, tackling is very poor, like many of our key players he goes missing when the real heat is on. He has squibbed it on several occasions going for marks and pulling out to protect himself. Against players such as Mark Johnson and Jonothan Bown he refuses to tackle them at all. When confronted with the ball he will get rid of it anywhere to avoid heavy contact and turn the ball over.
I would reconsider buying a membership if this guy gets a 3 year contract.
I would rather see him walk.

Who on the list would tackle Brown - Thornton, his opponent, wouldn't.

Squib? Have you noticed him play over the last 7-8 years?

Geesh guys. Lappin is a champion of the CLub and should be the reigning Nicholls Medal winner, show some respect. Yes he's having a bad year and yes he's not a big tackler, but he's one of the few players with genuine ball winning ability and I can't wait for him to be allowed to play forward permanently again.

Lappin will remain the some of the last bits of cancer will go in campo and unfortunately Whitnall maybe Lappin will become better and be more responsible ... But i think for us to move forward both Campo and Whits have to move on

Pity as i have tried to remain positive on Whitnall but i think i have given up now :(

Can't understand why some have turned against Lappin? :?

Of the three he'd be the one I'd keep if we could only keep one. Whilst this season hasn't been as good as last season for Lappin (as it hasn't been for the whole team) I think that generally he has been relatively reasonable.

I'd keep Lappin, I don't think he can be thrown into the same boat as Camporeale and Lance just because he is older and hesitating over accepting a new contract.

Get rid of Lance and Campo..........they're a cancer on this club!

That's amazing. Do that again. I never saw his lips move.
Just so you know... cos you dont know much.... but you think you know much... but you know jack shit...

One of the above definitely wont be at Carlton next year.

Another most probably wont..

The other wont be at the club if he doesnt wake up to himself.

I would trade/ delist all three.. (Lappin id give a chance to tell the club if he is "in or out"
we have no time for free armchair rides...

So I take it you call the meeting in Lygon Street.

Between you and me. You can cut out all the "Just so you know... cos you dont know much.... but you think you know much... but you know jack shit..." crap. If you have got something to say then fine. But don't try and stand over me and or bully me. It aren't going to work. <insert I have a bigger penis than you emoticon> or

PS: How did you rate Campo's game on Saturday Synbad??

And just for the record Synbad. I think you are right.

However only one has trade value... I posted this on Whitnall to a Bulldogs supporter.

Quote:
Lance played his best football with a good quality midfield that use the ball well. Short leads into space. He is not a crash and bash CHF. Never was. Never will be. Stevens and Campo aren't allowed to free wheel like they did in the Wizard cup and are spending more and more time defensive 50.

Bradley, Campo, Ratten, Williams, Kouta, etc was a quality midfield. Yours is heading in the that direction. Not sure that it will ever reach their heights but it will become one of the best in the comp.

Getting rid of Lance is a tough one. Most Carlton supporters with any knowledge know that if we trade him to a Geelong or a Bulldogs it would bit us on the arse, because we would not be compensated fully, for a firing Lance Whitnall. (And rightly so.)

Keep him and he struggles with the worst midfield in the comp.

Carlton loses in both cases. Lance Whitnall the footballer should move on. For Lance Whitnall's sake.

The other 2 should be offered no more than 2 years. You don't offer 3 years to 30+ player period! I would offer them 1.

My dig at the poster was because in an eariler thread he posted

Quote:
Campo has been offered around but no one wants him

Quote:
Who was he offered to?

Quote:
Well I think they enquired to all clubs, but the response was 'not interested'

Just think that posters should think for themselves instead of repeating your thoughts. At a very minimum they should say "I'm not sure.. But Synbad posted this........"

And to be honest I quite happy for you to have and share you opinions (or knowledge) just think many other should think for themselves....

If I'm wrong? Then I'm wrong and I apologise!

When Lance is at another club next year and he gives Livo a towelling will the supporters here be angry at him or Pagan for getting rid of him.

If Lance is at another club he should not be going into Carlton's locker room.

How many yrs has Lance refused to get his blubbery body into shape? He did it for a couple of months during pre-season and what since, put the weight back on and 2 or maybe 3 good games.

We all know what he is capable of but refuses to stay lean. I'm starting to believe he does this deliberately as a snipe at Pagan. And yes, you can bet your bottom dollar that when he is traded, he will shed those 10kg's, keep the kilos off and blitz at another club. What that will show is that he don't give a rats arse about the Blues and his trade will be vindicated.

As for Livo, forget that, line Big Red up against Mal Michael. Wanna take bets who will come out on top?
