...J.Carr or Heath Black or Paul Haselby? I got no idea really.

...or should he be more offensive this week and show DP what he has learnt so far from playing on McLeod, Aker, Judd & Hayes?

Your thoughts.

Haselby. I think its been proven that he's the key to their midfield. Slow him down and we have a chance. Unlike other players Walker has been on, Haselby is relatively slow so Walker will need to be mindful of quick handballs etc. May need some basketball skills.

I know he's on the outer but I can't help but think that Norman should be given a go on Medhurst. IIRC it was on Medhurst where Norman last played, was killed, and lost his spot. Big last chance to Karl?

Otherwise, key match up is Farmer who will need either Carrots (was Carrots injured last game with his calf v Hawks?) or SImmo, but after the weekend, I think both need to be played upfield. Bowyer to get another go?

Who will play on Sandilands when he goes forward? Livo?

I would be tempted to let Walker do his own thing this week and wouldnt be getting him to tag...play him on the wing.
Medhurst will kick goals if he gets enough supply..we dont really have the right type of player for him...you could try Norman again but I thinks its more important we dominate the midfield and cut the supply....

Hopefully Fisher will get a game and give Fev some help....any danger of someone being able to take a contested mark down forward this week...Eddie Betts should also be included...if only to show his senior teammates how to tackle...

Hell yeah I agree that its important that we dominate the midfield and cut the supply but I just can't see it happening Elwood. Haven't seen it for a month, except in little bits, and can't see why it would happen this week given the form of our midfield brigade.

Thus, selection of NOrman will be a huge test as sneaky Medhurst will ne near the ball more often than not. Medxhurst and Farmer to <4 goals between them and it would be a good effort by the defence.

I am happy enough for Walker to do this role for the next 6 weeks - have a big preseason in the gym and cut loose next year.

We'll get slaughtered in the midfield and will struggle to match Pavlich and McPharlin. I'd let Walker have his head this week after 4 weeks or so of terrific run with roles.
I'd have Waite on Pavlich all day - to show Jarrad the way around a ground and how to present.
And the rest won't make any difference.

Although can Campo be in the Ants? Please.

Walker in the middle and Jarrad on Pav - both would be great to see - gee I'd love to see Jarrad just play a defensive role - just once.

Both will not happen though.

Walker deserves to play on the wing without tagging this week for the reason that he has been one of the few decent players over the weeks, and can prove that he has learnt a lot from Aker, Cooney etc. If it doesnt work in the 1st half put him on a star and let him tag. It is risky but what have we got to loose?... another game lol.

What do you people think of Teague playing on Medhurst. I cant see Norman being recalled, Teague would be much stronger and could match him in all areas on the ground. I cant see Carrazzo playing on him because Carrots is too attacking and wont pay Medhurst respect. Id like too see Carrazzo on a Forward flank too create some dangerous inside 50s because he can read the ball and we need to put there defensive under pressure.

I agree Elwood, let him run loose this week. Free the shackles, let him enjoy himself, if that is at all possible.

Bell is being reported here in the west as a very doubtful starter due to his hamstring injury.

Josh Carr also didn't train today due to a cork or a strain? I'm not sure can't remember.

Freo gave about 10 guys the night off (pav included) training tonight too.

They win a game and its PARTY TIME !!

I'm up for just letting Walker rove for this match!

I meen, i could see him being an Aka/Crawford type of player in the future! He's done well as a tagger, but lets see how he goes as a Rover for a day! We know damn well he can run for 4qtrs and not break a sweat!

I would love to see Walks run free this week.

Play Bowyer on Bell (if he plays) and tell him to yell "BOO" every time he goes near it - Belly will fall straight over holdiing his face.

I REALLY REALLY want to win this game. I don't care if we lose to everyone else, but I really want to win THIS one. I am so tired of watching these 2-bit limp-wristed flat-track bullies kicking sand in our faces and laughing every time we play them in WA. They are crap. Utter shite. If we had half their talent we'd be sitting in the eight right now.

Walker 35 possessions BOG. Fev 8 goals, Simpson 25 touches and a lazy 4 goals. Jordan Russell to get more then 3 minutes of game time. Let's go Blue boys!!!

I like the idea of Waite on Pavlich. Waite has been off the boil big time. He looked completed lost last weekend and was clearly beaten by Fisher. The amount of times he fell over was a joke. He needs to go back to basics and stop putting in a token late punch to the stomach each time he tackles and go out there and win the ball.
