I have been overseas for 2 days and I am reading this shit. We all know that is a great player. But he would be a better player if he plays for the gurnesy. I am really disappointed.

But mikkey someone else is doing your thinking. That line has been written numerous times in this thread and hundreds of times in this forum. Its like someone has started a cult to turn Carlton supporters against their champs.

I love skinny. He's the best, but, and it's a big but, we don't want ot go down that path like David Allison. He single- handedly almost brought down Carlton by negotiating via the media. As one other Tcer said that we've got to do it properly.

Besides no othe club would give him a three year deal at his age

Don't really agree with that. I think people are just getting sick and tired of ridiculous contract demands. Name another 29 yr old who'll get a three year contract thats not in the super elite catagory. ( Buckley, Voss, Hird )

Sorry Caz, but I get a little annoyed when you stick up for somebody and then they decide to repay you by taking a dump on you....it gets tiresome

BM, i think youre tripping again.
Anonymous is a guy we shall call for the moment 'Larry A'.
So you reckon im a leak???I thought you said i didnt know what i was talking about Marky mark...
N ow Larry A reckons i want a job around the club.. Larry is the guy that fell into a situation and then wanted to be rewarded for it by taking Ian Coutts job as the mouthpiece for the club.
Of course its a no go.. just because Larry is a product of the Dept of Education doesnt mean he can suck eggs.

Now Larry A also has a penchant for using other peoples accounts on here. Last time he said he was his son.
Larry was using TBV to try and discredit the current board.. being an MCC member he was livid Collo and the board allowed the club to split MCG/Telstra 6/5.. in fact he called it a "sell out".. he was quite active in the media in slurring the boards name.
LarryA told me that he didnt like Telstra because he would have to sit on the top deck with his son as buying anything more than a silver membership with his MCC membership was "too expensive"...I told him to lose the MCC membership and if the MCC membership was his priority it would be too expensive...
Larry A has had his nose put out of place acouple of times by me both on TBV and out on "the terraces"
the interesting thing about Larry A is he acts like a weasle.. takes snipes at people (he knows personally and how to approach them but prefers to do it behind childrens names)
Blue Mark.. glad youve been active in bringing me up to the club... cos i know the club doesnt know you to approach you.
Youre like a kid who is complaining your toys are smaller..

I look forward to someone from the club giving me a talk...
What you dont understand is that people around the club know who i am all the way to the top.
Youd be shocked who i watched the game with on sunday...
Nothing i said is shocking to the club.
If i have a private opinion on Campo and Whitnall... i doubt the club would get the jitters. :P
Ive actually done alot to support the footy club on here.., whether its to help supporters understand why players were cut loose or work i helped coordinate to get the club moving forward.
Im just proactive BM ... youre reactive...

Oh that's really something I don't want to see

Now back to topic...

I will be veerrry disappointed to see Skinny go, if that is what he and the club decide. He has been a fantastic player for the club, although this season he is certainly down on the form that we have come to expect from him.

But we cannot give a 29 year old player a 3 year contract, unless the money is extremely reasonable. Even then it is not in the interests of the
club to tie up a spot for that extra year.

Now I can understand why Lappo would be asking for the contract, but IF he can't realise that it is not in the best interests of the club and digs his heels in (IF! IF!) then we will have to get used to our team with out him.

That is not bagging Lappo, it is just facing a fact.

Exactly, Caz.

The bottom line is that a 29 year old, on his form, doesn't deserve a 3 year contract.

We've been burnt before over it and I'll be damned if it happens again.

Doesn't matter what his form is. 29 years old's period.

Gee thanks Synbad, I can remember you going off your tree when I outed Larry ages ago. Actually called me a traitor. I didn't bring you up to the club, I defended you as I have done before but won't be again. As for my contacts I don't brag about them or run around claiming I am a mouthpiece either. I have occassional chats and exchange e-mails, all very pleasant in fact, one or two are personal friends that go back many years. Also remember who actually introduced you to certain people and yes,you took it from there, but I didn't introduce you to everybody I knew, thankfully (particularly when I learnt what a backstabber you are).

Synbad you are very good at throwing your weight around and telling everyone just how good you are but as a wise sage once said

'Those who make the most noise, usually have the least to say.'

Note, apology to those who are bored by the Synbad/BlueMark fights I find them equally tiresome and really should not lower myself.
