Thanks for the updates. From what I can gather it seems this really is a bit of a mountain and molehill type deal. Oh well, another day in the life of Fev.

Mikkey and others, nothing surprises me about Demetrispew and the AFL, "The Spew" is a disgraceful, lying and corrupt turd and always wants his pound of flesh, he surrounds himself with incompetents so he is never shown up, Gieschen, Schwab, spare me please. Anderson nothing more than a Brown Nosed little lackey.

His failed foray to New Zealand to show WADA that he has a bigger appendage showed how he fares when he is out of his depth - hello Demetrispew, WADA is a worldwide body you are just the CEO of a regional sport that rates "blip" on the world wide scale - who do you think you are Jacques Rogge  - your just a fat turd throwing sand in the face of your little playmates who dare to step in your 4' x 4' sandpit.

Brendan being made to read an apology (badly) will Schwab have a bit of a sook and a cry about it and the AFL withdraw their threat - PULHEASE.

Demetrispew time to dig your head out of Ron Evan's arse.

What shits me is that Schwab did say that the only reason they put Fev up was because it had had so much media attention. I was amazed when Schwab said it and I'm amazed that now he's saying he didn't and I'm hardly surprised that the AFL have come on so strongly to protect their own.

Corrupt, vindictive and petty sums up the people that run our beloved game.

Truth be told Schwab should be charged for bringing the game into disrepute by predicting Hawthorn would win the premiership at the start of last season.

And I loved the way Eddie puts on his sincere face and says, gee Brendan, we hope that you've prepared a written statemnet because its REALLY heartfelt and you don't want to forget any of it.

Spot on Agro. This is what we get for having a hack player reach the upper echelons - delusions of grandeur.

I don't watch the footy show.

But I'm interested - does anybody have a transcript of what Peter Schwab said and what Brendan Fevola said?

He apologised! What a load of horse shit. This game is [REDACTED].

Given the reported comments of what Schwab has supposedly said it does seem a bit arse about. I got the feeling during 3LO's Saturday afternoon call last week that Schwab would pursue this. All sounds a bit precious to me.

i await the AFL response.

it a way maybe its a good thing.

maybe if he gets suspended the AFL community will see the double standards we as a football club face day in day out against the AFL.

James Hird's remarks where far worse than what Fev's where and we know he didnt recieve any suspension so it will be interesting to see their response.

All in all - a flower joke really, but that is what out great game has become. I lose interest in the game more and more with each week passing (not becuase we are losing either) but that game is the healthies it has been

my ass

What is so upsetting is that Schwab actually said these things some time ago! I heard it myself on 774 - I think it was pre-game of the Hawthorn game. I remember it so clearly because I nearly fell of the chair listening to it. Listening to what players say in the media in general and on TFS in particular – makes this issue even more outrageous.

If the AFL moves against Fev the Club has to take legal action and Mike Fitz has to resign from the commission. I am sick and tired of this vendetta.

Fevola apologises for charge comments

Quote:
Fevola faces a fine of up to $5000 from the AFL. Last week, Schwab said he would expect at least an apology from Fevola before deciding whether to make a complaint

Is there anyway we can get a transcript of Schwabs initial comments on 774?

I spent about 30 mins last night trying to hunt down a transcript on the ABC website without success.
This has really pissed me off because I was listening on that Friday night and Schwab's remarks were exactly as Fev has said, giving the distinct impression that the only reason they charged him was due to media scrutiny of the event.

I'd imagine you might be able to get a transcript directly from the ABC upon request.

In the past I would be overcome with rage but the regular occurrence of bias and discriminate behaviour from the AFL towards Carlton has almost made me immune to these unwarranted attacks.

To be honest, I never heard Schwab's original comments so I can make total judgment, but Fev's comments were neither in breach of so called "conduct unbecoming" rules nor were they inflammatory. Unfortunately, if he is penalised, I don't think the club will do anything from a legal perspective because I don't think they have the balls to stand up to the AFL. If ever they were going to legally challenge the AFL it was after Black Friday and they would've won as the draft is in direct breach of the TPA and therefore the draft would've crumbled and any case the AFL had in favour of the draft would never stand up in court. No draft, no draft penalties.

I hope Fev's apology is enough to quash this pathetic accusation

What next? Livo will be asked to explain why he bulked up so much over the pre-season. Its felt its given him too much of an advantage over his opponant and he'll need to keep off the weights or be de-registered until he slims down

Has Brendan ever considered taking some public speaking course's?

If I was Paul Roos I'd be fining Demetrispew for "conduct unbecoming of a CEO" What an arse  . If these clowns were in charge of a ligitimate organisation they would have been jailed years ago.

The AFL, Macguire,Sam and Ch9 need to realise that people love the game for the game, not because of their ugly heads. These people would have us beleive with-out them the game would grind to a halt. What a bunch of pricks

It's the AFL covering their arse much like Collo denying the problems with the surface at Docklands is covering his arse.
Once they admit to something like a dodgy playing surface or a media influenced review panel they open themselves up to possible legal action.

So Collo and the management at Telstra are copping a well deserved spray - so why does that make the AFL immune to equally warranted criticism?

As far as I'm concerned, this is Collo's last chance. If Fev is fined and Collo doesn't challenge the AFL and just bends over to take another arse pounding he's gotta go.

Strike 1 was when he insisted Williams face a charge even though Coates said there was absolutely no charge to answer

Strike 2 Not Appealing Black Friday penalties

Strike 3 was his manipulation and collusion with the AFL about the majority of our home games at a crap stadium for the next 8 or 9 years

Strike 4 We're watching you Collo

I'm inclined to somewhat agree....we should not have copped those draft penalties, esp not the priority pick...........not without a massive protest.
