Thornton might as well not play for the rest of the year and start his preseason for 2006..

Lets see who else on the list can play at CHB, maybe a 6 week learning lesson for Waite...

Agreed - let him get it sorted so that he's absolutely right for next season

it's a shame and will probably mean the spoon is definitely ours, but given we can be a lot more hopeful for next season, it's got to be worth it!

They have Essendon* and Richmond left to play. Reasonable chance in both.

Synbad, are we allowed to win any game for the rest of the year.. Losing 16 straight doesn't sit to well with me...
Would like to get up and win the last game of the year against the kangaroos and hopefully stuff up there finals chances as a payback for screwing us up in rd 1....

Fevola definitely cant play this week. His groin injury will just not allow him to play. French also will not come up and need another week of.
That should make sure of the loss. If Hawthorn counter with dropping half the team for disciplinary reasons then the old flu epidemic will sweep through the club.

Should be an interesting week at the selection table for both clubs.

Horrible luck for thornton, but given our season is well and truly over, I would be happy to see him not play again this year, so he can be ready for another big preseason.

I think that with thornton out, Norman has to be given a chance. We have nothing to lose, and it will give him an oportunity to show if he deserves to be on the list next year....

Yep, I'd tell T-Bird to hang up his boots for the year and I hope Fev does the right thing by putting up his hand and saying that his groin is too crook and he needs a couple of weeks off at least......time to see which blokes running around with the Bullants want/deserve to play with us next year.....(i.e. Norman, Diggers, Bannister, Wiggins.....this doesn't apply to you Trent Sporn - whose fate should already be sealed.

with T-Bird going down for what could be the rest of the season it would see us not fielding our preferred structure once this season.

and we wonder why we are travelling so shit.

not once this year has

Fevola
Whintall
Stevens
Thorton
Livingston
French

all played in the same team together.
