Fevola is a talented player but as others have said is a leading forward who needs good delivery...its not all his fault he hasnt been able to kick goals and I thought he contested well and tried for most of the Freo game.
We need a power forward who can take the heat off him someone like a Kosi who can be a target for the long bomb and draw some heat of Fev...good forwards usually hunt in pairs..we need to find Fev another mate who can help him out. Fisher is a good marking option but we need someone with a bit more size and grunt to make it easy for both of them.
I thinks thats why getting Kosi or someone as good would make such a difference....Fev will kick plenty of goals once we have the right setup in place...be patient.

Doubt whether we want to see the back of Fev HOWEVER how many more excuses are going to be made for this bloke: delivery is shit, umpires don't pay him frees, his hair gets in his way, got out of the wrong side of the bed, blah blah blah.

For $20,000 a game i don't want to know about the labour pains just show me the baby.

Note Collo also isn't too enthused about boy wonders bitching in the press for a salary rise.

This whole salary episode stinks and is like a cancer with even the young players lining up for more.

Fev is our best deliverer of the ball to players leading inside fifty. We need two of him. I bet he would love to be on the end of one of hisown passes. Also i noted that every time he got a pozzie in the midfield we had a shot at scoring within four more posessions. He is very creative. Too bad he isnt more nimble.

Not a lot of room for him in arc today. Sacrificed his own game for the team. No Problem with him.

No worries - we'll just fix all our problems up in Round 16.

The AFL's rules with respect to getting players on your list allows all our problems to be fixed up by Round 16.

You guys want instant gratification - talk to Mrs. Palmer she is always willing to accomodate.

At last someone who has a brain - did anyone notice Fev's pass to Stevens. Fev took the ball on the wing bounced once or twice and hit Stevens on the chest lace out. Not too many Full Forwards who are capable of returning the favour to their mid-field in this way. Also cleared the way for Fisher to run amok in our Forward line as well.

Agree with Wojee and lets not forget full-forwards do not grow on trees. Easier to try and fix our midfield than think we are just going to pluck a guy with his talent from the next draft.

All those years of playing football and I thought I wasn't good enough and now I know it wasn't me it was because my fellow players didn't kick it to me properly and not to mention those opposition players trying to stop me from getting it. Geez if I has just explained that to the coach I might have been a star.

The one who has kicked 8 goals in his last 5 games because teams lock down on him now?

Am I to assume that next week when Fev kicks 5, that it's because the delivery was 1000% better from the midfield or because he's pulled his finger out?

Maybe we should ask, Peter Bosustow, Mark Maclure and Ross Ditchburn.

Club29 you are a true believer. Agree with what you said, except that Fevola sacrificed his game for the team, there's no way that happened. Now Fisher is back Fevola should play as a true CHF for the rest of his time at Carlton and demonstrate the skills you rightly say he possess.

A bit of credit to Parker aswell though.

I had no problem with Fev's endeavour, thought he put in yesterday, got involved, was just kept goalless by a good opponent on the day.

Darn, you're so right, it's actually $18,182 per game...

Back to the bar, lads :?

Thought Fev put in the effort yesterday and have no real problem with his game. SHowed one of his vastly more experienced mid-fielder team mates how to get the ball in quickly instead of hanging onto it and poncing around waiting to be tackled.

Well now there's some names. Players of a different era who commanded nowhere near the $18,182 per game that Fev commands. In fact Maclure who was a true loyal servant who's heart bled blue would be lucky to have made that much in his 13 years at the club.

By the way if you're talking about plyaers who sacrificed their game and put their body on the line - Sellers was the man! Agro you should ask Sellers what he thinks about these "cowboys" who hold the club to ransom.
